@juliette.eliza:  You could say something like ‘I can’t wait to use it!’ or ‘We will really enjoy using/eating/displaying this’

I think you are right on target – I would go with “Thank you so much for thinking of me!” -maybe not “us” since it’s lingerie 🙂

The people who gave me lingerie were pretty close to me, and it was mostly nightgown/robe sets, but I made a joke about getting rid of my old flannels and enjoying the feel of silk as I lounge around watching TV.

I got one not-so-tasteful set from an aunt and just told her that I appreciated the gift and that it’s lovely.

Thank you cards don’t need to be especially long, just sincere and timely.  closing with a line like @Reeniero:  suggested will probably work well.  It doesn’t give too much detail!

We received a gift from a classmate of one of our groomsmen.  We’ve hung out with him a bunch of times, but he was never on our radar as a potential guest since he’s just a drinking buddy we see maybe once every other month.  But he sent us a few pieces of our dishware, which was incredibly generous!

I think I wrote something like, “Thank you so much for the beautiful gift of dishware.  We just love the design on the plates!  It was so thoughtful of you to think of us, and we appreciate your well wishes.  We will definitely have to have you and and the rest of the gang over for dinner sometime soon – on our new dishes! :)”

No mention of the wedding really.

Lingerie?  Maybe “Thank you so much for the beautiful lingerie!  The lace is just amazing.  It was so thoughtful of you to think of me, and I truly appreciate your well wishes.  Take care.”  In some cases, I added “Let’s definitely get together soon!” if it was someone I regularly see socially.

@juliette.eliza:  haha! My suggestion would definitely be soooo awkward then. I like all the previous commenter’s suggestions.
