So this is sorta NWR... we were houseguests this past weekend, and I'm sitting down to write thank you notes, and for some reason I'm having a hard time of it. We had a wonderful time. There's no reason for writer's block.

My next thought was that, in a few months, I'll be doing about a hundred of these. I don't mean to complain about thanking people (hosts or for gifts), it's just a little intimidating.

The last time I had to sit and write formal thank you notes was HS graduation... it was tough! I felt like I was saying the same thing to everyone no matter how much I tried to be personal.

You get like a routine going. "Thank you so much for sharing our special day with us! We really aprpeciate your generous gift of ____. We put it on our ____ for all to see. (Or we are using it for _____). Your support means the world to us!"
