i have a little bit of a quandry here.
so here’s the thing: we have 2 people who didn’t give us gifts and a possible card gone missing. conflicting stories from staff at the hotel said they gave the card to us or it went missing…so we aren’t 100% sure if there may be 1 missing card. i’ve tried (futilely) to get this resolved.
SO. i am assuming one couple may have given us a card and the other did not. for these 2 couples…do we write thank you notes, just thanking them for COMING and assume that they will read between the lines and contact us if they think we didn’t receive a gift?
i can’t imagine it’s the right thing to not thank them…they are both our friends (not our parents), but even so, i keep thinking of how to draft an email asking if the missing card might be theirs, but it just seems REALLY awkward.
maybe i just answered my own question. i think the only thing i can wrap my brain around is a “thank you for coming.” please let me know your thoughts!!!
