Ok so I have the mostest wonderful daughter in the world that is turning 14 in a couple of months and started to plan her party – wanted to do something fun and cute and unique
And then I fell in love with straws from Shop Sweet Lulu
AND THEN IT HIT ME
I have been following along with your Carnival theme wedding and I think I can do a scaled back version for her birthday party.
You rock – just wanted to let you know
but think about it – corndogs, cotton candy, popcorn, funnel cakes – midway games and the back yard decorated so cute and bright!!!!

@SoontobeMrsA: Well after I posted I saw that you were in a horrible state from dental work and I can so relate – I hope you are feeling so much better!

I am absolutely dying to see how you put it together 🙂 Please post or send me pics.
I’ll be OK. Thank you for your concern 🙂

@SoontobeMrsA: OK have the invite done and ordered the snowcone machine
We are having popcorn, cotton candy, snowcones, birthday cake, corn dogs and pizza (and possibly caramel apples, funnel cakes etc)
I found funhouse mirrors if you need a site
we are doing carnival games (ring toss, duck game, balloon darts, golf etc)
we are decorating with lots of balloons and bunting and streamers
we are turning our patio under our balcony into a carnival tent
oh and oriental trading has a cute photo prop http://www.orientaltrading.com/big-top-photo-door-banner-a2-70_5437.fltr?prodCatId=90000&tabId=1 which we are going to build a frame for it
and then there will be carnival games on the wii and movies
and possibly a faux-to booth
here is the invite mockup

Quick follow up – the Party was a blast – could not use some of the decorations due to the wind but it worked out great anyways! I could see using this theme for so many different parties!
