We used those frames (sprayed black with plastic paint) for our signage at our reception - then another bride bought all 20 of them from me for $20 dollars - so all I spent was $16 for 2 cans of paint, and a couple hours of my time on them! They are a total score!
FYI - painting them with multiple thin coats of plastic spray paint once assembled made them look totally seamless, and you couldn't see any white whatsoever! Also - don't put the plastic panels in until you have them placed, the plastic panels smudged and scratched like crazy!!
@Mrs.MedinaJr: Thanks! I have been finding some great ideas on the 'bee
@Future Mrs. Martin: Thanks...I felt like I needed to drop breadcrumbs to find my way out of IKEA
@Ms Mini: Do you have a picture of the frames painted black. My daughter suggested that. But I was worried that would be too much black on the table.
My sisters wedding is black, white, and yellow. I am posting a picture for reference....Do you think the frames will look better in black or white. FYI...we are doing white chair covers with Black satin chair sashes. (Disclaimer...this is my kitchen table which is much wider and taller than the tables at the venue)
@stlginkgo: Now that's an idea I might give a try. I didn't even think about yellow. I need to go back to IKEA and get a few more frames so I can try one black, one yellow, and one white so my sister can choose which look she likes the best.
i second that! i ran out and bought 25 of these after hearing about them here...
and I am also doing the number on one side and menu on the other... great minds think alike.
I am hoping to finish them this weekend so I will post pics when done!!
@BeachFanatic: Great! I would love to see the finished product. I only tried the one b/c I didn't want to get too far into doing them until I got the frame color nailed down. The toughest thing about the frames is getting the plastic covering off...LOL. It took my daughter quite a while to get it removed.
I love you ladies!!! I love the great finds everyone tells us about. Too bad this style won't go with my theme, but I'm sure with all the suggestions on this board, I will find some cheap ideas!!!!

The double-sided picture frames from IKEA for 99 cents.
I went to my local IKEA and grabbed up 22 of them and did a trial run of table numbers/menus for my sister's upcoming wedding. I just used some photos I had of her on my computer already but the plan is to use different pictures of them throughout their relationship.
