Woot! In another couple months, I won’t have to pay DOUBLE what my male coworkers pay for the exact same health insurance, just cause I have a uterus. Yeah Obamacare!

Unfortunately, that’s not how economics works. You, or someone else, is still paying for everything, just indirectly. Nothing is “free.” Someone has to foot the bill.

Uh-oh. I’m no psychic but I foresee this thread turning nasty.

@Laurenskii:  haha exactly. Oh shucks, the insurance companies actually have to pay for necessary care instead of sending our money straight to the CEOs and shareholders! *wipes away one tiny tear*

@LadyBlackheart:  I agree. Can’t we just keep political stuff like this off the bee. If you don’t talk about it in the workplace because it causes unnecessary friction than why bring it on here?

@roweboat:  I’ve got the drinks! 😀

@miss narwhal:  Well, I started a thread about Obamacare a few weeks ago but that was mainly to find out everyone’s opinions on it and how it personally affected them. I made a point to really stress that I wanted to keep it a friendly thread and to please not attack anyone for their views.

But a thread like this? A thread where the OP personally states HER opinion about Obamacare? It’s bound to catch some flack.

@miss narwhal:  for real. What exactly does this thread accomplish, or how does it relate to weddings?

My lady doctor things were already free with my insurance…now I just have to pay outrageous premiums (Have tripled) to cover those who don’t work or have insurance to get the same care I work my tail off to pay for.

Sorry, but the bigger picture for Obamacare is not a good thing.

@red_rose:  she posted it in the “not wedding related” section, so I would think its relevance to weddings is irrelevant…
