So today I helped out a friend who was hosting a volunteer event at a women’s homeless shelter. I came home and was so happy to be home. I don’t have a house, I have a good salary, nothing extravagent but I make enough to go on multiple vacations and pay my bills.
I have a husband, I have a dog who I am obsessed with. I have my family. These people at the shelter have nothing.
The kids were a sad sight to see. Some of the people were not that nice, they were actually very rude when we ran out of stuff to give them. People donated school supplies, baby diapers and wipes, etc. But its not their fault, its just their up bringing bc the kids act the same way. They don’t know propwr manners bc they were not raised that way.
I just wanted to share and to say that if you think you have it bad, just remember there are thousands of people out there who have it way worse than you. So remember to always count your blessings.
