Yay! We got married! I'll post a couple pics when I have some.
It was SO helpful to read advice from everybody in the hive, so thanks a bunch everybody :) I knew NOTHING about weddings when I got engaged, haha.
Our wedding was such a blast - I had never seen so many people dance at one before! It was insane. The dance floor was completely packed from 8 until 12, AND there was a spontaneous Minnesota vs. Wisconsin dance off competition (to Bust a Move, of course) between my grandpa, my 60 year old uncle-in-law, and one cousin on each of our sides. Probably my absolute favorite memory, even if my husband's family won. There were a LOT more guests on his side, so the applause vote was rigged ;)
Anyway, I didn't have very high expectations for our wedding - not in a bad way, I just figured: "We'll be married at the end of the day no matter what happens." And everything turned out absolutely amazing, even though our wedding was totally cursed. Two swine flu absentee groomsmen, one bridesmaid who was in the hospital for burns the week before, etc. It still all turned out totally incredible! Everybody had such a fun time -- so we acheived our goal of throwing a completely rocking party. Yay!
I could go on and on, but I won't -- I just wanted to say thanks to the hive for being such a useful community!!
