Eat a light breakfast, no lunch, and then continuously eat from 3 - 11 (turkey, pie, whatevs) hehe I'm so excited!
Um... well I don't generally TRY to eat as much as possible bc I am always trying to lose weight... but I think that if you wanted to do that it would matter what time the meal was. If you've got a 5pm dinner, eat a big breakfast early and no lunch. If the dinner is at 1pm eat a big dinner night before and a tiny breakfast. :)
Tiramisu - one of my friends bought maternity pants once and called them Buffet Pants. We decided it meant Thanksgiving Pants as well. As for me - I just try to not eat too much on Thanksgiving - I'm not a huge portion/overstuffed kinda girl.
Ok well I don't like turkey, I don't like stuffing that contains anything besides bread, stock, spices, and BUTTER (raisins? nuts? CELERY? onions? GROSS), I don't like sweet potatos mashed, I'm not a pie fan, I hate gravy, and I have a mild corn intolerance (upsets my stomach like milk does for lactose ppl)
Usually I just eat 2938324 pounds of mashed potatos and brave the corn because I love it. SICK.
I'm ready for my 2700 kcal (average # of kcal per TG meal!!) Thanksgiving meal, haha! :)
Needless to say, I'll be hitting the gym big time this weekend.
@ddubzz: NO WAY! Thanksgiving calories are not real calories. They are magical holiday calories that DO NOT count!
I'm going to eat a small breakfast and a small lunch and then try to pile up on the veggies!
I'm definitely going to eat like normal earlier in the day, because if I skip breakfast, I don't have a proper appetite the rest of the day and OMG I MUST shovel it in on Turkey Day.
It's just how it is. :)
@Alishaneva - Haha, I need to get me some buffet pants! My plan is to start early and don't stop or it'll all settle.
LOL, usually I eat light the day before, but I had a long day at work today and missed lunch so we went to my favorite mexican food restaurant and pigged out tonight.
Thanksgiving kind of grosses me out. I don't usually eat more than on a normal day. That said, I grew up in a family that doesn't celebrate holidays like most 'normal' americans, haha, so I never experienced the pig-out-fest until adulthood, by which point it seemed less exciting and more uncomfortable.
Okay, okay, who picked the "Tiramisu is a fatty" option? You can't get me down! I am going to eat more now in spite of that vote ;)
Two words -- Elastic waist. Also I'm definitely always super hungry after working out, so if I have a chance on Thanksgiving morning I get a workout in. It also has the added benefit that I don't feel so bad for *totally* pigging out. Unfortunately this year there will be no Thanksgiving day exercise for me... unless you count cooking all day as exercise.
Whoever said Tiramisu is a fatty is clearly one of those "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" people who cries before and after Thankgiving dinner.
VIVA LA STUFFING!
hahah @kjpugs... I never understood that quote. I can think of many things that taste better than skinny. stuffing is high on that list.
I know that if I eat less the day before, I won't be able to fit as much in on Thanksgiving. It's my way to be full/satisfied and not gorge as much as I could.
I do not like Thanksgiving meals. The three things I will indulge in today are: mashed taders, creamed corn (a must on top of the taders), and cresent rolls YUM!

Besides an elastic waistband, how do you maximize the pigging out?
