Anyone going to be ending their TWW around Thanksgiving? Since October was a big ol' negative, I thought I'd start another board.
I'm the week before thanksgiving - but i'll join in....i'm at 7 dpo now and trying really hard to convince myself to not poas this weekend!
I will be! If I O today or tomorrow (come on O!!!) Then I'll be 13-14 dpo on Thanksgiving. I have a 13 days luteal phase so I'm in!
Me! CD 16 here. I had cramping Monday-Wednesday this week (13-15) and we had sex twice Monday. Crossin my fingers, I'm not charting right now! Any input which day may have been O day? Think I had ewcm yest. but mon-tue wasn't sure between that or sperm :/
AF is due for me on Thanksgiving! Here's hoping we get BFPs to celebrate instead. Still haven't o'd yet though, so who knows.
Im the week before (hopefully lol) AF is due next week,so Im trying to resist POAS this weekend as I want to wait till I AF is missed if possible!
I'm also in the group which AF is due next week as well. Thanksgiving is fertile fun time if we're not successful this month.
@carrieknitscake:I wish we had Thanksgiving even if just for this reason lol!
@kimbo89: haha, yeah for fertile funtimes during Thanksgiving.
I'm CD20 today, and am crossing my fingers that I'll get a positive OPK sometime in the next couple days. If not, I'll be asking for provera on CD 35 -- the day after Thanksgiving. Either way, I'll have some kind of plan by then! :)
chasetnet, I'm at Day 15. I'm expecting the (other) big O tomorrow or Saturday. We'll be out-of-town for the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Is it weird to POAS at someone else's house? :)
@candicemcc: Sadly I don't think there's much that can be considered weird when TTC. I never would have thought I'd be scrutinizing my CM and checking my CP and smuggling pee cups with me to the bathroom at work for OPK tests!
@candicemcc: If we don't get a BFP this month then I'll POAS at my in-law's house at Christmas... Guess I'll have to invest in some of the regular HPTs so that I don't have to take cups for my Wondfos and try to hide something that big in the trash.
@chastenet: Do you usually O this late? You know me with my PCOS -- no way of knowing if it will even happen, but I'm still holding out hope. OPK today is negative but signs are pointing toward possible O in the next week or so.
@bunny: This is only my 2nd month charting, and it's my 3rd cycle post m/c so I'm not sure that usual is the right word, but last month I O'd on cd22. My last cycle was 36 days, which is 4 days longer than my longest cycle pre-m/c. I was hoping to get back to 30 day cycles but it doesn't seem to be happening yet.
I think I should be O-ing later this week and expecting my period around Dec. 1. I hope you Thanksgiving testers get good news this cycle!
You guys, I'm disgruntled this morning. A little backstory--got pregnant with DD on the first try. Believe me, there's enough infertility in my group of friends that I was feeling VERY fortunate (and still do because she's freakin' awesome). After some compromise, we decided to start trying for #2 when DD turned 9 months. I know, that's early but not as early as Hubby wanted. So got my period back at the end of August, waited a full cycle just to chart to see what was going on (everything looked fine), and started trying last month. Had good timing last month but BFN. This month, got EWCM on Thursday and waited until the next day to start trying since I usually have 2-3 days of it. Temp dropped on Friday and then rose back up on Saturday but still nothing to break the coverline. Sigh. I just want a high temp. Right now it just feels like there's no hope this month. The TWW is torture but at least there's hope. Ok, vent over. Hope everyone else is doing ok!
Got my positive opk today -- CD 24. Going in for a progesterone test next monday and will be testing Thanksgiving weekend! Yay!
@candicemcc: I'm in waiting for O confirmation pergatory as well...It sucks! I've had every sign imaginable to point to O on Friday...I had a 2 day temp rise, then today, temps were back down with EWCM back and CP high and soft...It's fair to say I'm disgruntled, too!
Im still holding out ladies,I survived the weekend without giving into POAS temptation!I think Im going to hold off until about wednesday now,as Im not feeling as positive as I was a week or so ago. Ive still got a sore tummy (feels like Ive done sit ups) but also had a few AF-like cramps before the weekend, although they have now disappeared altogether! So still feeling the same physically, but mentally Im just not thinking this was our month anymore. But,we shall wait and see!!
I'm 5 DPO today. My temps have never stayed up past 11 DPO so I made a deal with myself that I can test on Tues, Nov 22. I'm hoping to have a BFP to celebrate on Thanksgiving! Anyone else at 5 DPO today?
I'm 11 dpo today and also didn't test over the weekend. I'm trying to hold out until AF due date but thing I'll prob end up testing wed unless my temps come down. They've climbed so far after O but got the same reading the last 2 days (98.3). I'm not feeling anything different at all so not very optomistic but maybe that means i'll have a nice easy sympton free pregnancy if it turns out a bfp!
@kimbo89: and @shelly.mg0924: I am planning on testing Wed too!! I will be 12DPO then and that is absolutely as long as I can stand to wait!! AF is due Friday and I usually have a pretty regular cycle. I am crossing my fingers for all of us to get BFP's!
I am not feeling confident this cycle...no real symptoms at all to report..I still am holding out hope though! Good luck to all this cycle!!
I thought I ovulated early last week, but now I think I ovulated yesterday. So my TWW will end about November 27th. Trying to remain patient so I don't test early.
Just wanted to say good luck to you Turkey Day testers!! I got my BFP on Thanksgiving morning 2 years ago :) Love that it's a day I can easily remember. I had to get up a 3 or 4 AM to brine the Turkey and I told myself I would not wake the hubby up no matter what the results... WHATEVER... I woke him up immediately :) Then went and brined the turkey... then laid awake in bed with my mind reeling for an hour or so before I finally just got up cause I couldn't sleep.
Hoping for lots of extra 'butterballs' in the 'oven' for you guys!!!
@ecomaha: I'm at 6...very close : ) I don't go far past 10dpo. If I start to spot I won't test at all. If I don't, I'll probably wait until Saturday.
Holy moly, I think my temp FINALLY rose. Fingers crossed, people. Fingers crossed.
@misskittykakes:woohoo!tomorrow is the day,so good luck!
@candicemcc:Ive got everything crossed for you,not just fingers!
Spoke to DH today, and because my cycles arent really hugely regular (thought AF was due tomorrow but really it could be anytime this week) were going try to wait till the weekend, maybe friday. Ive got a little back ache today, and thats a usual sign of AF,but still holding out hope!
@candicemcc:Horray!!! My fingers are crossed for you!!!
@kimbo89:Tomorrow is the day!!! How are you feeling...have you noticed any different symptoms?? I haven't had really much of any. I am still hopeful though!
@misskittykakes:Ive had a bit of a tender tummy, like its been bruised or Ive done too many sit ups,and Im havin nausea once or twice a day,but its so irregular, and lasts for like 2 minutes,so Im not really putting that down to anything. The weirdest thing is that my sweet tooth has disappeared,Im a chocolate monster, but for the last few weeks,I can stand it,I just want savoury stuff!Again.that could just be a phase Im going through though. Im trying really hard to not read too much into stuff,so Im just (im)patiently waiting for AF to show up,and Ive had a few twinges and cramps today,so if she is coming,it wont be long now. :(
Good luck with your test, how are you feeling about it?
@Mrs Green Grass: I've always wanted to test on a day off for me and my husband, so Saturday or Sunday. Sunday I'll be 11 DPO and I'm debating trying it then. I have some cheapies I could use. I'm just not sure I want to see a negative. But I'm feeling impatient already and it's only Tuesday ;)
@ecomaha, I've been impatient this whole time (last month, pre-O, these last whopping 2 days). I'm not really feeling it for this month, though. I'm not sure why. But part of me has a little bit of faith that it will happen when it's supposed to. I think about the crazy odds that went in to making my daughter, well, my daughter. What if we had tried a month earlier or a month later? What if we would have BD one more time before O? Or a different swimmer had made it in? CRAZY to think about.
@candicemcc: i totally agree - it will happen when it's OUR baby. but it's still hard each month to not get excited. and as it gets closer to 12 DPO it gets even HARDER!
