We incorporated a poem I wrote for Fiance when we first met which is also engraved on a picture frame in our house.

We had a section in our ceremony where our families responded to the minister when he asked if he gave their blessing, and then he proceeded to ask the rest of our friends and family in attendance to give their blessing by giving us a round of applause 🙂  It was a sweet, noisy, moment!

We had blessings from our parents right when the processional ended, my Nana read a poem as the greeting, we presented flowers to the parents after our unity candle lighting, and we had a slideshow at the end of the ceremony for people to watch as we ushered them as a couple (rather than having a receiving line). It was great to add in little touches that made the ceremony ours.
