it is bad taste to be taking pics of oneself in the middle of any ceremony really but is it worth getting upset about.. i dont kno what to think abt brides these days, do they get bent out of shape alittle too easily?
See, that is the thing. I didn't think it was worth anything to say, but then again I heard that the cousin was creating drama for the bride ever since she didn't let her be a bridesmaid and the bride wasn't a bridezilla for the wedding so this kind of was against her personality. Still, I was in the recieving line after the cousin and al I can do is smile and hug the bride but my fiance was like "WTF was that about?"
good lord, that is ridiculous. The cousin could have waited until after the ceremony to take photos of herself. Good job bride - better to let it out than stew over it for the rest of the night!
I'm slightly impressed that the bride stood up for herself like that haha
I guess the bride could have "been the better person" but I'm glad she wasn't:)
HAHA! I think the cousin was in bad taste, and the bride... I think if she was a tiny bit gentler I would have given a full out "hoorah!", but maybe her comment was a bit too far. Oh boy, I hope I am absolutely oblivious of anything except my happy guests and my wonderful FH that day :)
Had the Bride left it at, glad I didn't get in the way of your camera shoot, I would have been all for it. But the end of her insult was totally inappropriate, and made her look more self absorbed (and tackier) than her cousin.
I think it's fantastic, especially since she had been having problems with the cousin. Go bride!
That's funny as heck! I guess the bride wasn't about to stew over that during her reception...LOL
I like this kind of bride :) She didnt let the cousin get off easily but she also didnt break down immediately once she heard what happened
That is awesome. Seriously pure awesomeness award goes to that bride! Her reply was perfect!
Honestly i'm glad she said something! She confronted it directly and didn't create too much of a scene from what it sounds like! I would have done the same thing although im usually one of those people who thinks of what to say after the fact so her comment is much better than something i could have come up with!

So I just got back from a wedding and during the ceremony, while the Bride was walking up the aisle, the Bride's cousin started taking pictures with her cell phone, not of the bride but of herself! I mean, it was like those Facebook pictures where the idiot is looking straight up at the camera while making stupid gang signs. So, the bride is told about this afterwards and says nothing. Well, the cousin goes to the bride and congradulates her and the bride says while smiling "Oh thank you for coming. I am just glad that I didn't get in the way of your camera shoot. We all can't be narcisstic camera whores."
OMG!
