Hey Bees I am fed up, I got on the gym scales this morning and they told me that my scales have been lying to me by 2.5kg or 5 POUNDS can you believe it. Now I know you might be all saying that obv this doesn't mean I have gained weight. However it sort of does because of when I got the scales, I'll explain below....Anyway I am back to counting calories,

To give you all the background info

I cant possibly do anymore exercise, I have been a fitness freak for about 3 years now, I do bootcamp 3 times a week and am in group 1 out of 5 (there are only 6 in group one and 4 are men) I am the second fastest girl at Boot camp, I just did a half marathon in 1hr 48min which is pretty good, I have personal training once a week, and on top of that I try to hit the gym at least 2x per week.

I eat really healthy, I just eat too much. I am not over weight however I have been a lot thinner, I am 5ft tall I thought I weighed 50.5kg (111 pounds) the scales this morning told me I am 53kg (117pound)

    I lost a lot of weight 3 years ago I went from 68kg (150pounds) to 43kg (94.5pounds)

I went up to 45kg and stayed this weight for about 1 year, then I gave up smoking and put on what I thought was 5kg (turns out it was 7.5) as it was around this time I changed scales. Now I have been trying to loose those 5kg for a year now without any luck, mostly because i figured hey I am slap bang in the middle of my healthy weight range and I do so much exercise some of it is muscle. I have been trying but not like I did the first time round.

Well this extra 2.5kg has made me go WHOA slipery slope, so that's it back to counting calories. I lot of you may think I am being a bit silly, but it was so hard to loose the weight the first time round there is no way I am allowing myself to creep back up there.

Here are some pics so u can get the idea

The first one is of me at my current weight (maybe 1 or 2 kg lighter as I dieted a bit before the wedding)

This one is me at 44.5kg

And this is me at my heaviest - That's it, operation Nothing tastes as good as feeling thin feels Starts again! : wedding weight loss fat exercise P1260963

Do any of you bees have similar stories to help motivate me?

@simpleandchic: You have done a FABULOUS job of losing weight and keeping it off. And I totally understand where you're coming from 100%. Two years ago I lost 33 lbs doing Weight Watcher's. I have managed to stay relatively thin by loosely abiding by the guidelines of WW's. But since I started working third shift I managed to put back on around 15 pounds. Not to mention I lost my motivation to work out.

So now I have started back working out 6 days a week (at home doing dvds and the treadmill) and have started counting my points strictly again. I feel like working the hours that I do makes it slow going, but I will not give up!

I love food as well. That's why WW's is good for me. I can still eat what I want and I learned portion control and that I can still satisfy a craving with a lower calorie, healthier choice. And if I REALLY want something bad, I can sacrifice for that too ;)

I've lost about 8lbs in the last 5 weeks. And I really want to push it just a bit further! Hang in there, we can motivate each other!

@Mrs.tobe: 8 pounds in 5 weeks is really good! I hope I can do that too! I just have to stop myself before I eat things for the sake of eating them,  Last time I lost weight the Kate Moss saying really helped (not that I should use her as a role model) but it did.

Lady, I understand what you are saying as far as that slippery slope goes. Way easier to nip the problem in the bud!!

I know you are looking for support for losing weight, but to be honest i think you look your best at your current (or wedding) weight...you are beautiful and look gorgeous in all 3 pics, but to me you look nicer in your wedding pic than in the pink dress pic.  Just my personal opinion though, rock on with the weight loss if thats what you want to do!  Good luck!

@ScarletBegonia: Awgh thank you, my prob is that my top half is so much smaller than my bottom half so when my bottom looks goodmy top is too bony and when I loog good across my declotage my bum is too big and I struggle with jeans and stuff.

I just wanted to take a second to commiserate because I'm 5'0" too, and I know how much difference a few pounds can make. We're so small, there's nowhere for it to go!
I'd like to give you props for taking care of yourself though, and I just wanted to throw out there that I've seen your wedding posts on here a few times, and I'm always so blown away by how gorgeous you are and how beautiful your wedding was!

I'm with you!!! I've decided it's time to start buckling down to lose those last 5 pounds! I've also lost a substantial amount of weight but I really want to get down to my goal. I work out a lot too which doesn't always help because I'm almost always hungry!!

    @ScarletBegonia:  Agreed.

I hate to comment and disagree with the OP but I find the "nothing tastes as good as thin feels" is a slippery slope all its own.  Nothing tastes or feels as good as healthy food when you're hungry!

@simpleandchic:  You look fantastic in your wedding picture (your arms look amazing, and way stronger than in the skinnier picture), and unfortunately we can't make our bodies in whatever mold we want.  If fitting your butt into a certain size jeans means looking unhealthily thin in your top half, then maybe your body is just not meant to be that size when healthy.  That's part of why it gets so hard to lose those pounds.  You are in amazing shape - make sure you're giving your body enough food to kick that much butt.

@MrsMcGyro: Awgh sweets that is so lovely of you to  say, and yes being 5ft makes it so easy too look frumpy quickly, we have to works so much harder at staying slim!

@Running Elley: Ditto I am always sooo hungry!

@SoontobeMrsA: And I just want to say you lok fab too and goodluck with your wedding sweets!

@Entangled: Some true words of wisdom there, I hope one day I'll be happy with my bod, I just haven't gotten there yet, I may never, at the moment all I know is I wanna lose some weight, but I totally get what you are saying :)

@simpleandchic: I know you were looking for some thoughts on how to stay motivated, but can I say that you've motivated me instead? I'm 5ft too and I weight a bit more than you at your heaviest, but looking at your pictures now, makes me think I could get myself in a healthier shape too.

And honestly, I think that you do look healthiest in the picture of your closest weight now.

@Koala Bear: Hey sweets, go for it! You should find it relatively easy to lose the first 10kg, I did, just by increasing my exercise from 2-3days a week to 5-6days a week and counting calories 1200 per day. Once I got to 56kg it was harder, as i had hit my healthy weight range, but I persisted and got to 43kg.

I am now 53kg and desperate to lose 5kg, We can motivate each other if u like :)

Gah. I can totally relate. I'm only 5 ft myself! Small weight fluctuation change how my clothes fit. I also have the same problem of deciding where I want my weight to be. When my butt, stomach and thighs are in good slim shape, my breast feel..... "hallow" and kind of deflated. My face also looks better. Then when I gain weight, my boobs are great and feel like boobs should, but then I have muffin top, a pouchy stomach and heavy thighs.  You look fantastic in your pics, but I would say your wedding picture looks the most balanced. Also, try loading up on salads. Just make sure to not use creamy dressings! Generally, you can eat as much fruit and veggies as you want and not gain weight.  Also, consider a high raw and vegan diet. Many seem to get that little extra boost they are looking for when they transistion from healthy to vegan and mostly raw.
