Hey 2014 Brides!
I’m a bride to be with to much junk in the trunk and other places. I’m wanting to get healthy and lose weight. I’ve recently found a fab doctor in Jacksonville, FL to deal with my hypothyoridism issues. I’m ready for a new me.
It’s not just about rockin’ down the beach to my Fiance in an awesome dress, looking beautiful . . .
I want to feel beautiful.
That means getting beautiful inside and out. Being HEALTHY.
Thing is, I know I can’t do it alone. I know there are other brides out there with the same goals. Let’s help each other. What works, what doesnt. Tidbits, recipes, workouts, you name it, can go here.
Even after 2014 has passed, I hope other brides will make use of this thread.
Because when you are not alone, you can do ANYTHING!
Let’s start off with wedding dates and how much you want to lose.
Wedding date: 02/22/14
Weight goal: 50 pounds
I CAN DO THIS! SO CAN YOU!

I got married 3 weeks ago so I’m not a 2014 bride, but I just wanted to cheer you all on.
I lost 60 pounds for my wedding and I am *so* glad I did! It made the day so much better because I felt so good about myself. I honestly couldn’t have enjoyed the day as much if I hadn’t lost weight.
I’m still plus size and my weight loss journey continues, but I’m so releived that I did something about my weight.
Sometimes people ask me ‘my secret’ to weight loss. I tell them “get engaged because there’s no motivation like a white wedding dress!”.
Make sure you foster that motivation and put it into action. You can do it ladies!

Hi ladies! Just wanted to cheer you on for your weight loss journey. I am currently on WW and have been since April. I lost 30 pounds and think that WW is one of the best programs around. I have done Nutrisystem in the past and although i did lose weight the program does not teach you how to properly eat. Not to mention how expensive and gross the food is!
Drink lots of water and commit yourself! My fiance lost 45 pounds by changing his diet (no exercise), if he can do it anyone can!

@MissSangria: I would love someone to do it with it!
I’m a 2013 bride and refuse to even try on dresses b/c I’m so nervous of how it would look. I take it day-by-day and try to think, 5lbs to go and try that each week. In reality I’d love to lose around 50 lbs if that would ever be possible. I started going back to personal training and the gym and drink a ton of water all day but really want to do more.
Good luck to us 🙂 We’ll do amazing!

I’m a little late in responses so I wanted to take a moment and catch up!
@HisNightOwl2014: What I have started to do for losing weight is I’m taking a look at what I put in my mouth. I’ve found a great iPhone App called “Lose It”, it’s free which is a plus. You put in your information and goals and it tells you when you reach your goal. It tells you the calories to eat each day to make your goal. You add in workouts too and it adjusts calories for that day to. It’s really helpful!
@adriskill: Congrats on your weight loss! Yes, drinking water is key. Something that I am lacking in but I am trying to do better!
@BIW: Congrats on your weight loss and thanks for the support!
@sleepyhead22: Welcome to the group! We can do this!
@Hkychica05: Wow, congrats on the 30 pounds! Congrats to Fiance too!
@ChickenNoodle: Welcome to the group! Yes you can do it. We will take it day by day. Meal by meal. You are going to be a beautiful 2013 Bride!
