Is any one else just starting Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred? I did it two days ago and I am STILL in pain! The front of my thighs are killing me. Sitting down and getting up is unbearable. I'm scared to try again. Lol. But I gotta push through because after I Google the results I was stunned! Is anyone else getting their ass kicked (literally) by Jillian?

I'm doing it and it's great -- wish I hadn't gotten the flu from my flu shot, but I'll pick it back up on Monday

Ya it seems like the only workout that actually feels like its working. I'm going to try to pick it back up tomorrow. Hope you feel better!

The reason why you hurt after exercise (unless you pulled something) is because of lactic acid build up in the muscles.... after Jillian (SO GOOD!-- so are her others--no more trouble zones and boost your metabolism) go for a nice 30 minute brisk walk the next day to get that acid moving out....you won't hurt as long or as much. :)

Have fun with it!! :) It seriously changed my arms.... :)

I started it two days ago! I did it once several weeks ago, but then a series of things kept me from doing it, so I just stared over. Man, it's a tough 25 minutes!

hi punk.. ya i just started it too on thursday.. like you the front of my thighs are KILLING ME still today!! but just keep pushing through, i tell myself it will all be worth it in the end (at least i hope so)..lol.. but ya yesterday i went to try dresses on and omg I could barely move or like squat down . ouchy!!!  I figured that i would do level 1 for 30 days and then level 2 for 30 days and then level 3 for 30 days, kinda drag it out and hopefully lose a bunch and tone up!!

I started the shred on the 5th of this month...today will be my 3rd day at it. I love it and really hope to stick with it and do it for 30 days straight. I feel that its quick enough that I can do that.

I already feel better! Let's see if there is any progress by December!

I did the 30 day shred starting about 2 months before my wedding, but I only did it 2-3x/week and rotated w/ other DVDs and with outdoor exercise.  If you are that sore, I don't think it is good to repeat that same exercise until your body has healed some.

Post-wedding, I also started Pilates, which I wish I'd done before!  It has really helped my posture, which I think would've made me photograph better...I'm getting computer hunch!

surprisingly I was really not that sore either. Hopefully I'm doing everything right...but I do work out also, so I guess I'm used to it

I haven't been the most active lately so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. I'm thinking about alternating days with some yoga to help with flexibility. Also, I really think I should have taken more time to stretch.

Based on your positive comments, I should start doing it now to see if it works for me.

I have been doing it for about a year along with other workouts (running, other weight training) and I love it.  It does kick your ass, but I can tell when I stop doing it dor a few weeks that I feel jiggly!  She is definitely intense!

I LOVE that level 2 doesn't have as much jumping in it! haha! I do it in my room so I'm always jumping around on level 1 with all of the jumping jacks & jump ropes!!

I can definitely feel that I'm more toned-even only doing it for 2 weeks!

I've been doing it for 2 weeks with about 4 days off total (I didn't do it yesterday or the day before. Whoops!) This is my third attempt, and the first two times I didn't make it through the first week... but now that I've done two weeks, I'm seeing changes in my arms, and I've started to drop a little bit of the honeymoon weight. I started at level 1 with 2 lb. weights and all the push-ups on my knees (I know, I know, I'm a weakling), and I've been working the weights up, and doing more and more real push-ups, so that now I do 5 lb. weights and the first 8 push-ups of each set on my toes... I would definitely recommend working up within each level by increasing the weights. I think I might buy myself some 8 lb weights!

I'm using 3 lb weights-that's pretty good for me. Don't worry-I do the girl push-ups too!! My arms are soooo weak!!! My legs are quite strong though!
