I’ll be happy to join you over here.  Do the veterans, roll call again?

Age: 32

Brief TTC background (months trying, supplements used, known issues, etc): In TWW of 11th cycle.  Have a large firbroid and tests indicate i have the egg quality of someone in their mid to late 30’s.  DH has low morphology but all other number check out. We’ve been through all the testing and everything else looks good, even the fibroid is just taking up space, not pushing on anything,  RE says statistics are on our side to conveive within the year.  If not pregnant after 12 cycle, we will be moving to SOIUI (aka medicated IUI)

And, just for fun…

Tell us your favourite joke!

whybee:  I liked yours and mine will be just as corny.

I heard this at DH’s family reunion a few weeks ago and really liked it….

Why did everyone want to hang out with the mushrooms?  They’re fungis.

ROLL CALL

Age: 31

Brief TTC background (months trying, supplements used, known issues, etc): 13 months trying. 🙁 I’m taking Pregnitude, prenatals, fish oil and a probiotic. I tried Vitex earlier this year, but it made me have mid cycle bleeding, so no more of that.    As for known issues, my blood work and ultrasound came back as normal at first. But then we did CD 23 progesterone test and that wasn’t great. It came back low at 8.3. My doc said she wants over 15. So I might not be having a strong enough ovulation and is considering Clomid for me. Next step is a HSG scheduled in 2 days and a SA for DH. Then after we get those results, we will start Clomid.

Link to Chart (if you have one): don’t chart. Just track in a journal.

And, just for fun…

Tell us your favourite joke! I don’t have a favorite. But I do like puns… Did you hear about the guy whose whole left side was cut off? He’s all right now.

or this one, My friend’s bakery burned down last night. Now his business is toast.

ROLL CALL

Age: 28<br />

Brief TTC background (months trying, supplements used, known issues, etc): I’ve been following the TCC boards for a while, decided to join finally join in as this TCC journey is turning out to be harder than I thought. Its CD1 of Month 8/5th cycle.

I got off BC in Jan of this year after being on the pill for 8+ years.  After waiting for 3 months for AF to arrive, I went to the doc was was prescribed provera to induce a period.  Next period showed up 27 days later and I thought maybe everything was sorted out.  But since then I’ve had a 34, 25, and just finished a 44 day cycle – all without ever getting a + OPK or seeing a temperature rise with temping.

Went to talk to the doc today.  Got a referral to see a RE to get an HSG and for my DH to do a SA.  Once those tests are done, she’ll let me do a monitored round of clomid. I’m glad to finally feel like I’m doing something to help on this journey, but feeling a bit disheartened right now because getting all the tests and starting clomid is still a long process – I wish there was a way to speed things up!

phoebephoebo:  erg, so sorry you are back here.  huge hugs!

whybee:  i certainly don’t like calling us veterans.  and i agree, it is good to keep up with everyone’s story especially since there are updates from my original rollcall.

BTW, as for us oldies, I am really 33, since sunday.  I guess I’m not used to my new age.  I would update, but edit is disabled right now.

ajillity81:  I’d keep claiming 32! That has a nice ring to it. A lot nicer than my age!!

phoebephoebo:  So sorry to see you back here.

whybee:  I like how you called her out on no joke. hahaha although I think the “I’ll pull one out” is kind of a joke. Since we all know NO ONE “pulls-out” on the TTC boards! 😉

As for your 7dpo test, I’d probably say try to get it done. The more information you can have the better. Just know if it the results come back low, it might not really be a true negative. Though it might make you a candidate for Clomid and that could be the assistance you need…

whybee:  the progesterone bloodtest is only going to say if you ovulated, if you really don’t think you ovulated, then maybe wait until next cycle?  or definatly go in this cycle whether you really ovulated or not and be like, look, there is a problem.  what can we do?

whybee:  TBH, I’m not 100% sure. I O every month. I think she just wanted to try something out before having to move on to IUI. It did produce 6 eggs so odds were in my favour but some docs would recommend no bd based on that. I hear it can also improve egg quality. I also had a scan at day 10, a trigger shot and bd 36 hours later which is all supposed to improve odds. It’s definitely something to think about if you get to 1 year.

Id definitely do the test. The more test results you have the more you can do to move on if it gets to that point.
