    http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/the-6-months-038-up-club-part-3?replies=613

For those of us who've been TTC for 6+ months now with no luck - hoping that 2012 continues giving us that amazing lucky streak that we've had in the past threads.

Hi to our familiar faces, and an even bigger hello to those just joining us. :)

To bring things up to speed..

How many Months or Cycles TTC: This is month 14. Cycle 10.

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): PCOS, anovulation for me. Low morphology for hubby. Currently on 2000mg of Metformin daily, 100mg Clomid, and Progesterone to stop cycles and promote withdrawal bleeding.

Current CD/DPO: CD15 - praying I get a temp shift so I can confirm OVULATION OMG.

Current state of mind: Ridiculously optimistic. I WANT A TWW, darnit.

Anticipated testing date: Nil. I don't let myself get that excited anymore.

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: I have an RE visit scheduled this Thursday (2/2) and I'll be talking over the next steps with her.

It's 1pm here (first day back at school with my new class and OMG I am so freaking pooped) - and I'm busting for the loo, but holding it in until this afternoon's OPK test. That's dedication, right there.

I can't believe how fast that last thread went! Must've been because of all the good news. Here's hoping that this one is equally as wonderful

How many Months or Cycles TTC: This is month 12.5, cycle 12

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): Doctors have thrown around the 'unexplained infertility' diagnosis, but I'm not going for that. No meds except supplements.

Current CD/DPO: CD 19, praying that I O tomorrow or the next day

Current state of mind: Kind of over it. Hopeful for this month because of the new strategies from my RE, but not really hinging too much on a BFP

Anticipated testing date: We'll go for Valentine's Day, unless AF shows or I don't feel good about things.

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: One or two more cycles naturally, then we move on to some more testing and invasive measures.

How many Months or Cycles TTC: 8 months

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): PCOS with low progesterone, hypothyroid, recurrent early pregnancy loss (1 MC, 1 chemical). I'm currently on a thyroid medication, prometrium (progesterone) 3-12DPO, B12 supplements, iron supplements and vitamin D supplements.

Current CD/DPO: CD28 with a sluggish ovary, had a temp spike this morning and waiting to see if it's sustained tomorrow indicating O.

Current state of mind: Just impatient and worried, per the norm :)

Anticipated testing date: If my temp stays up and I've already O'd I'll test on February 7th (10DPO).

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: I have bloodwork on 7DPO this month so if this cycle doesn't work we'll probably re-evaluate my meds.

How many Months or Cycles TTC: 2 years

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): me fine, DH has a low sperm count. He also hahs low tesosterone and vit d. He has been taking meds for it, and his counts have come up to 25 million.

Current CD/DPO: CD 16, IUI scheduled for tomorrow.

Current state of mind: I feel like a raging lunatic. I took Femara 5 mg for CD 4-13, and then had a hcg trigger CD 15.

Anticipated testing date: 2 weeks from tomorrow.

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: we are going to take a month or two off to regroup, and then continue with another femara/hcg trigger shot cycle.

@jaguar:  if you got the positive on the OPK, I would rely on that. My RE doesnt even believe in BBT. If you came to my RE, he would tell you not to bother and go off the OPK.

@missmegan11:  But you can get positive OPKs and never ovulate. It just shows that your body is gearing up to O. The only thing that confirms ovulation is a BBT temperatue shift. So your RE must put a LOTTTT of stock in OPKS! I've never heard this before! AND, good luck with your IUI tomorrow!!

    Here's my update:

How many Months or Cycles TTC: 8 months

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): Severe PCOS, 1 chemical, 1 MC.

Current CD/DPO: CD17... current fade-in on OPKs so just hoping for the big O!

Current state of mind: Awful. I'm distraught over jholler's news and I just don't even know why I try anymore. If someone who is healthy as a horse like her has to go through this, I currently feel like there is no hope for me.

Anticipated testing date: Blah. 3 weeks-ish probably?

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: Femara and monitoring.

@MrsMaine:  i think for the BBT you have to follow it specifically. IT doesnt work for me because I am on call Thursdays and Sundays, so I dont get a solid night of sleep and am up and down all night.

My RE monitors all cycles with blood work and ultrasound anyway. He wouldnt prescribe clomid or femara without monitoring. I got at least 4-5 times a cycle to the RE for monitoring. This cycle I went CD 3, CD 11, CD 15, and i have my IUI CD 17. Sometimes if I'm close to ovulating I go every other day.

and before prescribing any femara or clomid, my RE would make you do a SHG and HSG to make sure theres no blockages and your uterus is normally shaped.

@missmegan11:  Totally true on BBT. There's a lot of things you need to do perfectly and consistently in order for it to work correctly for you. I understand why it wouldn't work for you with your schedule. I just had never heard of an RE denouncing OPKs! I hope you didn't think I was calling out your RE ... not what I meant at all! I'm sure he's fabulous! I hope your IUI goes flawlessly!

How many Months or Cycles TTC: Off birth control and trying since August 2010, but 2, (maybe 3??) cycles since going off, since AF has been a no show most months, and extremely light at best.  Last cycle was an agonizing 54 days...

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): Diagnosed with PCOS 7 years ago at age 21.  Previously treated with BC and metformin at times, which made me puke like crazy.  Currently nothing.

Current CD/DPO: Currently CD33, with my first ever positive OPK!! on CD25,
so hopefully that means I'm 6-8ish DPO.

    Current state of mind:
Still feeling like everything lined up that it's ACTUALLY possible this month, but currently distracted by a cold.

    Anticipated testing date: Feb 7

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: Well, first things will probably get pretty ugly around here, and then I think I'm going to start charting/temping better.

@missmegan11:  My doc said the same as yours:) She didn't say that temp is useless....she just said it has to be done PERFECTLY for it to mean ANYTHING....and there are so many ways it can be swayed therefore, it shouldn't be taken toooo seriously. So, I took that and ran with it because I personally find it totally tedious. I wish I was like Elley, who really has the hang of it!

@Kemma:  OMGOSH I WANNA BE A PART OF AN OCT. BABIES THREAD!!! (fingers crossed). When ou said that I realized that if I get my bfp this tww that i'd be able to squeeze in that thread:)

@MrsMaine:  I am so glad to have a prayer buddy on here:)

How many Months or Cycles TTC: 6 months (this is my 2nd cycle actually Oing)

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): None. Just that I have the beginnings of PCOS which causes me to have low prog....which basically means my LH phases are too short to result in pregnancy. But I’m on meds for it so I think this month could be it!

    Current CD/DPO: 5DPO today! (Monday)

Current state of mind: For some reason I feel hopeful but I know I shouldn't be because that'll make a BFN even harder to see.

Anticipated testing date: feb 6th (12DPO) & with an early detection hpt

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: Just keep going.....less stress though. I will NOT test OPKs 3 times a day....I'll do them once a day with a digital. No more analyzing lines...

My heart is broken for jholler. :(

I took another OPK today (maybe the last time, maybe?!?!) just to be sure, and it's as dark as this morning's - so today is my positive OPK today. I still don't know if I should mark TODAY as ovulation day, or wait until tomorrow morning's temp? THIS IS SO CONFUSING. You'd think I was a TTC newbie for all the confusion I have! ;)

@jaguar:  did you hear back from holler? ( hopeing for reassuring news). I would say wait for temp and ewcm....They say it's ABUNDANT on O day (with myself I find that very true). And look for a lowered cervix (pain during sex). But mainly:  I would say if your test strip STILL says positive, then your O day is tomorrow or within the next 48h. Mine usually go down to negative as I O, because it's an LH SURGE which makes your egg burst out & drop....once it's dropped and is sitting there for 12-24h, your lh *surge* has been long over. Again, just what i've concluded from research & personal expreience. You are getting super close! You obviously will BD anyways;) And sometimes BDing before O is better because some swimmers can be very slow so obviously you'd want it to reach your ovary and be waiting for the egg rather than the egg come & go before the swimmer ever gets there. But,then again, it only takes one! (crossing my fingers, lady!)

@TurtleDoves: Thanks, lady! That helps. :) I've had some cramping last night (& a little today) that I don't normally get, since I don't normally O I suppose!) and I've had watery CM for the last week. This morning? Dry as a bone. Weird, right? I never really get EWCM, I've barely had it at all since I started TTC all that time ago. I will mark today as my positive OPK day & then see what tomorrow brings.

We'll BD again tonight to be sure, and then tomorrow, why not eh?

@TurtleDoves:  I never got EWCM on the same day I O'd!  It always used to show up about 5-6 days before my temp spiked, I never had heaps of it either.

I think with charting / temping, it's just one of the indicators when TTC, some months I reckon I O'd a day later than what FF calculated.  There are so many pieces of the puzzle that need to click together to result in a BFP.  Hey I ovulated and BD'd on all the right days and it still took us ten months / cycles.

I've totally got my fingers crossed for all the ladies waiting to O in the next few days!

@jaguar:  Jag, I never really get a lot of EWCM either.  And the month we conceived we only BD'd once, and that was days before ovulation.  You've been BD'ing right along and just keep at it over the next couple of days and you'll definitely catch it.  But, um, can we say that you are OVULATING!!!!  Flipping fantastic!!!!!

My heart goes out to jholler too.  xo

How many Months or Cycles TTC: 6 cycles

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): None yet.  I O every month like clockwork so I'm not sure what's going on.

    Current CD/DPO: 6DPO today! (Monday)

Current state of mind: I'm really hopeful this month but trying not to be.  I just don't want to get excited for another letdown.  I'm just doing all I can and letting go of it.

Anticipated testing date: feb 5th (12DPO)

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: We'll try one more month on our own and then start by getting my husband tested.

This month I'm using progesterone cream and eating for implantation.  Oh and my husband switched to boxers (Wink)  and we're only BDing EOD (per doctor's orders).  So we'll see how this month goes!

Meanwhile, I'm having the slowest damn fade-in known to man. At least this morning's OPK was noticeably darker than any of them. Ugh, just seems like it's taking forever.

(And, yes. I taped the first one upside down by mistake and had to continue doing so with the rest of them. LOL!)

I was devastated to log on this morning and find jholler's news.  I am so sorry, love.  My heart is breaking for you too. xoxoxo

@blondy: Congratulations on your BFP!  I hope you have a very sticky baby and a very happy and healthy 9 months!

How many Months or Cycles TTC: 9 Cycles

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): No diagnosis yet.  I O very regularly every month.

Current CD/DPO: either 2 or 4 dpo (I'm a little confused by my chart this month and need to pop over to the Charters thread this morning for some input.)

Current state of mind: Somewhat hopeful, but really at peace so far this cycle.  I was an emotional wreck last month and I just want to stay as far away from that as possible.  It put my husband through the ringer too, because he didn't know what to do with me!

Anticipated testing date: February 11th if my temps stay up

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: Extra prayers!  And keeping on trying...

Wow...so much happened over the weekend!

I'm so upset for jholler and her DH. Sending lots and love and prayers to them.

@Kemma: Congratulations! Just saw your BFP! Praying for a sticky baby for you! It's funny that you mention Murphy's law...it seems the same for us as well. B/c I had a MC and chemical, I'm thrilled that we're pregnant again, but we were also looking forward to a wedding of a good friend of mine in the islands shortly after I'm due. If this all works out, we obviously won't be attending! I wouldn't trade my BFP for the world though!

@jaguar:  I am so incredibly excited for you! That totally looks promising and this is your month! Good luck and hoping for a BFP from you soon!!

Can I just say that I want to kick my doc where it counts this AM? The nurse said he probably won't order a follicle scan for me (CD 18, no O in sight) and that I should plan on coming in for a CD 21 blood draw. Well, unless I totally missed my surge -- and with 2 Opks a day, I don't think that's possible -- all it's going to show is NADA. Arg! Why won't he monitor just because we aren't doing IUI?????

How many Months or Cycles TTC:  8 Cycles, been off BCP since July 2010

Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any): DH has low volume and morphology, my FSH is high (11). We met with our RE on Friday and we decided to move on with IVF. She gave us the choice of a clomid cycle with IUI but we think we just want to dive right into IVF. We planned to start in March, but I just found out I don't have the chicken pox immunity, so I need to be vaccinated, which puts us at IVF in april

    Current CD/DPO: CD 5

Current state of mind: Numb yet hopeful and excited. I was not at all expecting to be KU this cycle, so when AF arrived, I was just numb. I also expected to be bummed about not being able to start until April, but again I'm ok. I am hopeful about IVF because our RE seems to be really positive. I'm sure in a few weeks and as we get closer I'll be freaking out.

    Anticipated testing date: mid feb.

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP: see above

Frustrated. My tempskeep dropping like mad- no O in sight. They've gone down a half degree in the last four days. What's the deal?

Hubby is totally invested this month. He sat me down last night and prayed for ages, then told me how excited he is. He generally keeps emotions to himself, so the fact that he took the time to talk about it makes me really heartsick. I hope and pray that this is our month, because I can't handle both of us being devastated when AF shows.

@redsmarties:  Lower temps before O are pretty common, I believe, so I bet you're just gearing up for it.

It is so much harder for me to take when DH is excited about it too.  It's great that he's talking about it to you though, and prayers are always a good idea.  :)  If the opportunity comes up, maybe mention to him that you don't want him to be too excited right now so that there isn't so much disappointment if things don't turn out...or else pray that you can be strong for both him and you!

@Running Elley:  Thanks for the sympathy. I'm glad you finally got your temp rise/O! Wonder why your ovary is being sluggish? :P

@MrsFarmer:  I don't knooow. *whines* Sorry ... I mean, the whole reason I switched doctors was because my old doc would only do unmonitored clomid. It's totally not worth changing if he's doing the same basic thing, just with a different drug. It's definitely possible that my O is just delayed because of my surgery and all the meds I was taking. But you know what -- we could know for sure if he would just DO the freaking scan! I don't know that I can talk him into it this cycle, but I'm going to insist upon monitoring (and potentially triggering) next cycle, whether we choose femara or go back to clomid. I'm off to check out your post on the charters thread and see if I can help.

How many Months or Cycles TTC:  Off BCp since November 2010.  Started to worry around my annual in Late June, I'm 38. GYN said not to worry everyting looked okay even though I was having lots of spotting before my AF really got going. I went back to a different OB/GYN  (the one I had orginally wanted to see but who had a long wait) in November. She  had more do a bunch of bloodwork.

    Diagnosis/Current Meds ( if any):
Very low Progestrone/ not ovulating. My last cycle I did 50mcg of Clomid followed by Prometrium. I did have a positive OPK but BFN. Hubs checked out ok.

    Current CD/DPO:  CD 4

    Current state of mind:
Worried and wondering what's going on.Frustrated.

    Anticipated testing date: N/A

Plans for next cycle if we don't get a BFP:
Referral to the RE. My initial appointment is February 7th. Also my Endo just upped my meds for my Hypothyroid conition since I was in the high normal range and it's sometimes thought that lower levels help with TTC.
