    FI has been gone for two of his four day Vegas bachelor party.   I have been doing, fabulously..if I do say so myself!  I've been entertaining myself by talking on the phone, shopping with no price tag limits (hey--if he gets to gamble, i get to shop!), going out to long dinners with friends, taking the pup to the park and popping only one xanax!   Woohoo!

    Fi has been wonderful about keeping in touch.  He sends me one or two emails a day, calls once or twice and sends a text here and there.   I have not called him once!  It's been great having him make the effort to keep in touch.   I don't want to be the nagging girlfriend who calls every two seconds demanding all sorts of information.   Much to my surprise, he set up GPS tracking on his cell phone and linked it to my laptop homepage---(creepy, I know.  But it was his own doing!)  And he left a post it on my laptop saying---"Now you'll know where I am at all times! Love you."

    So moral of the story:  Vegas is easy when you have a thoughtful fiance.   It's also easy when you have great friends, unlimited cell phone minutes, pets, and access to prescription (or not!) drugs. ;) jk

    How did YOU survive the bachelor party?

    DH did the same thing.  4 days in Vegas with his buddies.  Luckily it was the same weekend as my bridal shower/stagette that didn't really happen, so I had all my favourite ladies in town here.

    I think he texted me once, and called me once, but it was really all I had time for either.

    That is so nice and thoughtful of him! I haven't experienced this yet, so IDK. However, FH doesn't want strippers and he doesn't drink so I don't think I have anything to worry about.

    It's all about trust, and it sounds like both of you are doing great. Enjoy the rest of your "me time!"

    @VirginiaMarie:

    Sounds like you are doing great!  It was hard to get through my FI's 4 day bachelor party.  We set the same kind of ground rules ahead of time.  I would try my best not to call him (unless an emergency or whatever) as long as he checked in with me at least once a day so I knew he was safe.
