Desiree ends up with Chris in what has to be one of the most romantic on air proposals I’ve seen. Anyone see the season finale or surprised that ABC finally managed to fake out the online tattletales? They must have gone to some extreme lengths to make that happen.
I don’t know how much is scripted or fake, and the whole premise of this show kinda gives me the creeps in the first place, but will they have a happy ending? Or is everyone in it for the fame, the publicity and the money?

I have the finale on my DVR and haven’t watched it yet, but I heard all about the surprise ending — I’m interested to see how it actually unfolds!
These days, it seems like most of the people are there for their 15 minutes of fame and to somehow jumpstart a career after the show. I actually feel kind of bad for those who are actually there for love, because those always seem to be the people who get crushed, both on the show and by the public and the media.

Of all the seasons I have watched, I think Catherine and Sean will last and I really hope Des and Chris. He was my favorite from the start… I just don’t know how you can go from being sooo in love with one guy, to accepting someone else’s propsal. Then again, I have never fallen for more than one person at a time so I wouldn’t have a clue!

Chris was my favorite from the very start, too. I’m not sure what she saw in Brooks, though I admire him for leaving when he did. I agree that a lot of people are there to jump start a career or publicize their businesses. Desiree wants to design her own label of wedding gowns. What better platform? Of course, you can want more than one thing. I am sure they are paid well for their time, too.
I saw Desiree and Chris interviewed on the morning shows and they asked her about the quick change of heart. Her answer was that she tried to compartmentalize each relationship and that a lot happened in the two remaining weeks. I guess it’s like speed dating on steroids.
