- Wedding: September 2011
Now before I start, I have yet what feels like dozens of board posts from fellow Bees asking the same question I’m about to. I have done my research, not being lazy…promise! BUT, the ones I have found and/or read seem to be mostly a year or so old. The ones that are recent are overwhelming, so I need help!
I am SO excited to start my DIY wedding projects. I plan to print my STD’s, escort cards, menus, programs, invites, table numbers etc. all myself. So, since I’ll be saving all kinds of money DIYing those things, I plan to treat myself to a new printer to do the job(s) correctly. Fair, right? I thought so.
Here are what I hope and dream for in a printer: (Hey, I made a list for my future husband & that worked! Why not with office supplies?)
-Quality. This one is a no brainer. I don’t want anything to look home-made!
-Back loading. I will be using cardstock, of course, and have gathered that back-loading printers are best to work with if using thicker paper.
-Ability to print on small paper. I read somewhere about a printer that could print individual favor tags, etc. from scrap paper. HOW AWESOME! Of course, me being me, I cannot find that article anymore and have no idea what the printer was. Darn.
-Ability to print on post cards and envelopes. I will be doing postcard RSVPs…I’ll do anything to not have to hand write 150 RSVP cards 🙂
-Affordability-The cartridges I am not so concerned about–but the FH and I can’t afford to spend $200+ on a printer.
See…that’s all I want! A printer that can do everything for cheap! Is that so much to ask!?! 😉
Thanks in advance for any help.
