My BF’s birthday is in two weeks and I’m brainstorming gift ideas… anyone give a gift to their SO that they’re particularly proud of? I’m usually a pretty good gift giver, but this time I need some inspiration.

I suprised him and had a new system put in his truck… first xmas together i got him a ninja sword lol (he reeeeally wanted one)… i usually make him a blanket every christmas, either crochet or tie blanket… scrap book of all of our kissing pictures with kissing quotes, super cheesy but it was for for valentines day

He loves his Schecter electric guitar.

I almost bought my Ex a full sized teepee before he was my Ex. We had seen one once at somebody’s house and he got super excited about it. I was even going to get him a chief’s head dress. I think it’s safe to say he blew the coolest gift ever.

Lol, the first and the last one.
First… Best Seats in the House for a Hockey Game between his favourite teams.
(Occasion his Birthday… shortly after we began dating)
Last / Most Recent… Bride’s Gift to the Groom on our Wedding Day = Gorgeous Watch
He LOVES the watch for sure, but he never forgets that surprise BDay Present I gave him of the Hockey Tickets… says he was “sold” right there and then that I was a special girl who GOT him.

I gave my FH concert tickets to his fav band/dj that is from another country and had never been to America. He is obsessed with them. I found out they were coming to America and only 2 hrs away! Tickets were sold out, but I found some on stubhub.com, I bought them for him and surprised him on valentines day! He freaked out! He loved it and I loved surprising him!

Impossible to get Book of Mormon tickets when it was here in San Francisco. He loved it!

I’m most proud of the gift I gave DH on our wedding day. He’s super outdoorsy (hiking, canoeing, fishing, etc.) and I knew he would never wear a nice watch or cufflinks or any of the “typical” groom gifts, so I ended up getting him this old school compass that came in a mahogany box and I wrote him a note that said “I no longer need this because I have found what I was looking for and I will follow you anywhere, my love.” I know…presh, right?!

We have 2 Harley Davidsons and I can keep him happy just by buying accessories that he can tinker with 🙂

It’s not an expensive one, but I think the one FI likes the most was the MacLaren’s shot glass I got him from the How I Met Your Mother website a few years ago. It’s one of his favorite shows and he has a shot glass collection so he loved it. We still have a photo of his face when he opened it.

You guys are all so sweet! These are some great ideas!
@Treejewel19: I can’t believe I didn’t think to do that! We’ve both been wanting to see Book of Mormon and we were just talking about getting tickets last month! It’s coming to LA in January. I may do this.
I had what I thought were two great ideas but he killed them both. I was gonna get him baseball tickets but he already bought them, and I was going to buy him the Starbucks Verisimo machine but he mentioned that he didn’t want it anymore. I was going to take him on a mini trip to San Diego but I’m not sure.

@BruinBeeMPH: Do it! It is a great show and worth the price. My DH was beyond thrilled, definitely best gift ever.
The second best gift ever was a $3.00 foldable cell phone stand from Think Geek. Honestly he uses it every day and it is flexible and fits right in his wallet. Not sure if your husband plays on his phone like mine does but best gift ever for practicality,…he is always telling me how awesome it is.

It’s a toss-up between the external hard drive I got him for his birthday once or his engagement watch.

My favorite gift I gave him was a chartered private catamaran that took us to peanut island in Florida and we snorkled and swam the entire day. It was amazing. Second best was his graduation gift, a watch that he truly deserved for all his hard work!
