I'd probably use craft tape adhesive like the suggestions here:
(though the glue dots probably won't be as 'smooth' as the other 2 adhesives, but I guess that depends too on how you display the ribbon on your escort cards...
But those are some things I'd suggest. They can all be found at places like Michaels. :) Good luck! :)

Hello, hive!
I have spent almost the entire weekend fussing with my "vision" for our escort cards.
Alas, my initial idea to use a ribbon punch (from papersource) to tie a bow was dashed when I realized that the punch only goes to a depth of 1" and my card was about another 1.5" longer! Even after I cut down the size of the card, i still wasn't able to punch it at the top without punching holes through the back side either. (which looked awful!).
On to plan #2 -- I thought i would just wrap ribbon around like below:(Miss Stiletto blogged about it a while back)

Well, not my problem seems to be that I can't glue the ribbon on smoothly. Any suggestions to either issue would be MUCH appreciated. I'm ready to tear my hair out in frustration!
Thanks in advance for your help!<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre">
