is that of our new dishwasher working it's way through a cycle, while I relax in the other room.

DH and I moved into a house without a dishwasher. We weren't gonig to get one, but got a check from my g-ma and with a baby due in a couple of weeks, it kept moving higher and higher up the list of 'need to get' items until we just bought one. My dad rebuilt our cabinets last week and installed it for us. It is so nice not standing at the sink washing dish after dish while my back aches for half an hour every night.

Ugh, I know what you mean.

My dishwasher was on the fritz for a few months. During that time I was hardly cooking because I hated hand washing the dishes. My dad finally came to fix it a few weeks ago. Now it works perfectly and I'm a cooking machine!

I don't think I could live without a dishwasher! I just don't think dishes come out clean enough when you hand wash them. I know thats probably totally un-true though. Its probably just the germaphobe coming out of me. Heck, I fully hand wash my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher!
