So some of you might know my story....

My BF is a professional athlete.  One of those strongman guys you see on ESPN pulling airplanes and stuff.  We met in January 08. I went to his competition with a mutual friend of ours, that is how we met.  Ever since I have been his support system and we make a GREAT team.  Dating a professional athlete is not easy.  He has competitions all through the year and trains 5 days a week for 3-5 hours.  Sometimes he will come home at 9pm.  Saturdays he trains for 5-6 hours.  I never give him greif, I go to all his competitions and I even go to his training sessions and video tape him.  I am basically his coach!  I LOVE his sport.  So, last year when I started getting the itch we talked about our future.  One thing he wanted to do before we got engaged was go to this competition and win!  Last year he got 2nd place at the last second.  I know he wants to win this and then concentrate on us.  So after waiting another year for this to come around it's finally here.  The Worlds Strongest Man competition held in Malta this year.  It's a small island under sicily.  My BF is already there and I am sitting at the airport waiting to board my plane.

I am so excited that I get to support him and cheer him on, and no matter what the outcome he will still be the love of my life and the strongest guy in my eyes.

So when we get back in a week I know it's going to be time to get engaged.  We both want to get married next summer or fall and he knows I need time to plan!

Please say a prayer and keep your fingers crossed that he stays healthy and performs to his best ability.

I will update you when I get back and you can watch him compete on ESPN on Christmas night, or you can tell your boyfriends/fiance's, I am sure most guys are into that sort of thing!!!
