I agree, ours are much prettier. But can you imagine the clarity on that thing?! It's really pretty transparent.

I was lucky enough to visit the Tower of London on vacation and let me tell you there is nothing that compares to that diamond! You would think it would look "fake" because it's soooo big, but it looked incredibly real (because it is!) The clarity on it was actually quite good - it sparkled like crazy!
Oh my...wonderful!! I think I'm going to talk to my FI and ask him why he didn't get me that one...am I not worth it!??!! HAHA
@rmw61111-I can just imagine the look on my FI's face if I were to ask him why I didn't get a 56 carat diamong ring. lol.

at least you wouldnt forget to put the ring back on.... the fact that you can actually lift your hand up should be a dead giveaway that youve forgotten something
I work for a luxury jeweler and on my first day on the job I visited the high jewelry workshop, where they placed a 54 carat yellow diamond in my palm - pretty cool for my first day!
WOW, those are amazing and Mrs. DG that was a really cool article. It is amazing how diamonds can spur up myths, beliefs and curses. Such powerful little stones (well big stones)
Next time I'm in London I'll be sure to go visit the Crown Jewels. What a neat experience! It's amazing what you can dig up out of the earth.
Blue diamonds are just AAAMAZING to me. Their color is unlike anything else!
OMG...that sucker is huge...but i honestly couldnt see myself wearing that on my finger or neck...haha just kidding!!
DH and I went to London in 2008, and visited the Tower of London. The crown jewels are absolutely breathtaking. There are some other really awesome diamonds there too! The pictures don't do any of them justice!
Last time I was in London was before my FH and I were engaged. I saw the "Heart of Africa" a 534 carat diamond that tops the Queen's scepter. I told FH that when he was ready to propose he should drop in on "Liz" (Queen Elizabeth) and see if she'll cut us a deal. It didn't go over well. Lol.

HOLY SMOKES! I'm learning from my class, lol! The professor said it was found in South Africa in a mine and was broken up into 3 pieces but only 1 piece exists still, one is in the Tower of London. It is called the Cullinan.
He said they are called investment diamonds...
