I haven't been there; it was on my shortlist for reception places but J didn't like it ... I can't remember now why. :) Something silly probably. We only had a few days in town (we live far away) to look at venues and anyway didn't end up visiting. I thought it looked really nice though!
Have you visited them? I would definitely visit sites before getting your heart set on anything. Do a search for Mrs Fondue's Vendor Worksheets if you want a great comprehensive list of questions to ask when you visit. :)
We visited it. We liked pretty much everything about it. We compromised a little on location because it is located right on 28th street but I loved the mirrors on the dance floor and Jan was so nice! It was in our price budget which helped too. I did look up questions and my fiances sister is a event planner so she gave us a few worksheets as well. :)
So it worked well for us with our modern vibe we wanted so we got the contract and are about ready to sign!
Awesome! I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful - it sounds like you've got good reasons for liking it. :) Maybe it was the location that turned J off too. There's just so many places in GR! I was surprised when we started looking.
That is quite okay. Yeah the location turned off my fiance at first but after we kept looking and couldn't find anything that fit the budget as well. We decided to go for it. There are a ton of places in Grand Rapids. It was difficult trying to narrow them all down!!

Has anyone ever been to or had a wedding or a party or anything at the Bluff Banquet Center on 28th street.
Anyone know if this is a great venue?? We are thinking of using it for our June 17th 2011 wedding :)
It seems like a great place but I just want to be 110 percent. :)
