Share some of your boudoir pics! We can create an inspiration gallery for everyone thinking about doing them. Coming up with poses is THE hardest part!
Gorgeous photos! This is great! I am definitely doing the boudoir photos for my fiance. May I ask how much you paid for them? And the backgrounds...did your photographer have them? When are you or did you giving them to your fiance/husband.
Very tastefully done.
I really want these but FI doesn't want them. He is all weird about them ending up on the interenet.
mrscingle - this is why you tell the photographer you want all negatives, digital and all!
The apron says my soon-to-be married name. Edited to add: Mine cost $40 and a bottle of Verde since a good friend took them for me. haha
Mine cost $700 including a "little black book" of 20 edited pictures, including hair and makeup.
Yeah, mine were in a studio so she had all the backgrounds available. She also had tons of props--tulle, flowy pretty drapery things, chairs, stools, couches, etc for a variety of fun stuff!
I gave them to my husband 6 months before our wedding when he got home from Iraq.
That's so cool your friend did them for you, phishphan! I'd loooove to be the photographer for my friends. I'm trying to talk them into it. =]
@MrsSchingle, most boudoir pictures are not posted on the internet. My photographer specifically will not post them unless she receives my permission. Most are like this, by the way. I did give permission for mine to be used in the in-store photo gallery though. I figured only women would be looking anyways, right? =]
I just recently after seeing all of the beautiful shots that I think this may be part 2 of the gift to my fiance. I have already done something sentimential (cufflinks off etsy with little vintage maps, one is orlando (where we met) and the other is williamsburg (where he proposed)) Maybe this could be part 2--a little more fun and playful
I don't really care about it, its not porn! Its elegant, classic photos that would show my body at its best! I had a hard time saying I wouldn't post them on bee for people to see cause I stink at lieing!
I just posted these a few days ago so my apologies if you've already seen it BUT per ejs, here is one of mine :) Can't wait to give it to FI after the rehearsal dinner! I also spent about $700 (including hair and makeup) and got a black leather album with a professional layout/editing with about 25 pics.
@esj- You look beautiful in your photos too!
I am soo getting them for sure now!
@Miss Librarian, where did you get your thigh highs? They look like the little polka dot ones. I LOVE them and must have a pair now =]
I actually don't have a pair of classic black thigh highs, only the black/red mixed ones.
@ejs, I got the entire outfit at Agent Provocateur! It was ridiculously expensive but the thing highs I think were only about $30ish? You can check them out online, they're based out of London but they have a store in SoHo in NYC and I think a few other big cities throughout the US. They are fishnet and I love them! They are fabric, not nylon so they really don't rip at all. I would totally recommend them! I love your pics!
You guys look AMAZING! Seriously amazing. I really hope I have the guts (and body!) to do this for my fiance!
Fabric fishnets? They are so cute with their bows and the netting is always a turn off for me too. I can only use so much clear nailpolish! Your fishnets are fantastic! They look really hot but sometimes on me they look like a bad halloween costume. Probably because all I do is pair them with my halloween costumes! I haven't been able to find CLASSY fishnet stockings and I think these fit the bill! I saw some with ruffles on the back I liked once. Plus if you take care of them, they take care of you...and your man! Too bad the Agent P website is probably a no-no at work. WHen I get home! =]
haha yes, I would stay clear of Agent P at work! They have very...er...artistic and creative web desiginers! Their merchandise is quite racey (but classy!) so probably not what you want your boss seeing on your computer screen :)
Speaking of halloween, how do your FI's/husbands feel about sexy costumes? I think mine is going to be anti sadly. It's the one time a year I get to dress like that and get away with it haha! *sigh*.
I really want to do this for my fiance but it's not going to happen before the wedding. His 40th birthday is in December so maybe I'll try to do it by then.
Oh my gosh, you ladies are so brave! And you all look fabulous! I ALMOST had this done, and chickened out at the last minute. I'm thinking I'll build up the courage and do it for a special anniversary, though.
I dunno if mine's into costumes...I just buy the dresses and wear them out for generic halloween costumes with my friends. I always prefer to be more covered up on top (no milk maid for me) but go real short on my skirt. He might be more of a lingerie man. I dunno, he's never told me he has a preference =]
My fiance would be okay with the classic "lingere plus animal ears" a la Mean Girls if we were at home, but I think it would make him sad if I pranced around at a Halloween party like that. :(
Meh, i don't get all skankalicious, but i'm already tall, so everything is even shorter on me. I just roll with it. DH doesn't care...it's not like i'm boozing it up and flaunting myself and he knows that. He certainly wouldn't be sad about it; he just encourages me to have fun and be safe. I'm still allowed to dress up for Halloween with my friends =]
I was a sailor last year...trust me, it definitely wasn't lingerie! It was a long sleeved sailor dress
Love them EJS! Thanks for starting this thread! My fiance would LOVE this but unfortunately the money's not there and I'm not sure if I've got the time to get creative and do it on the cheap. We'll see. Hopefully I can figure out something in the next couple weeks, otherwise I don't know what I'm getting him!
@ejs, I was thinking about being a Sailor this year! Or Alice in Wonderland...hmmmm. You should check out www.pinupgirlclothing.com. They have the best costumes/accessories :)
So does Ebay, lol. Thanks for the link! I actually bought my costume used for like $15. I washed it first =]. It was hard to find one in cotton...that thin shiny spandexy stuff doesn't fly with me. And some of those costumes are made much too risque for me. Their idea of low cut is my idea of boobs-a-flying.
haha I totally here you! Sadly my *barely* B cup boobs don't do much flying, even if I try extra hard haha. Even the most scandelous costume doesn't look risque on me (well, of course there are exceptions but I mean generally). I don't know who designs these things but a size small should be small every where haha. Even with a wonderbra I can't fill them out! Oh well. FI doesn't mind, and in fact likes, that 'the girls' are small so I should learn to be comfortable with them.
Everyone looks fantastic!
My husband gets these in a week and a half for our first anniversary.
Ah, w-ell, my issue is that I wear a medium, and the bra cups are like, a B. I'm a DD, so uh...yeah. Talk about squishing out in the tackiest way. Or i can buy the XXL and it just hang on me. Good thing he likes the "she's so busty she's falling out" look but I can't say I do =\. Kidna reminds me of those old Elizabethean era dresses with the corsets? ha =]
@Pekilia, those are awesome!! I LOOOOOVe the boots one! Did you have them done in your own house?! Oo and the couch one! I love your robe, where did you get it? teehee. Is it bad that I want to buy everybody's boudoir clothing?! I bet your husband will loooove these =].
I just wanted to put in a plug for Sockdreams. They did my wedding fishnets and they had fabulous customer service!

@EJS: Thanks! My photographer has a loft in downtown that we used for the photographs. I liked the more urban setting for the background. The robe is by Samantha Chang and comes in several colors. I found it at a local lingerie shop called La Mode.
@Pekilia Who was your photographer? Just noticed you were in Houston (so am I) and was curious about who you used. I'm thinking I'll be doing something like that for our one year anniversary. And btw, they look great!
@emg: I used Beth Cupitt at Rouge Photography. You should also check the Houston board as there are several local suggestions that people are using. That's where I found Beth's info.
I SO wish I could participate in this thread!! I'm definitely planning on getting these done for my FI. I have the name of an amazing (seriously, amazing) photographer out of the Cleveland area, but she travels all over the place and holds "marathons." Luckily, I'll be able to go right to her home studio to get mine done :)
EJS, your pics are gorgeous! Your hubby is a ver lucky man!
Re: Halloween costumes: I'm definitely one of "those girls" who takes advantage of "it's the one day you can dress like a skank and get away with it" mentality. FI loves it and has no problem with it, thankfully. Halloween is a BIG DEAL at the school we went to, so we both have years of experience going all out for Halloween.
If anyone wants the name of that photographer, let me know!!
Oooh scandalous thread! YAY! hahaha!!
My best friend is a photographer and we did a photoshoot awhile back for my fiance. He loved it. He has them saved in his computer in a file named "I'm so lucky" haha!! This sounds so weird but he loves my fingers, because they're really long and he's told me they're graceful. I've always been told I should play the piano lol. But anyways, I made sure to have my hands in most of the shots.
These are my faves. A good thing about working with a good friend is those are real laughs in the 2 shots :) :)
And pelikila and ejs....your pics are awesome by the way!
all of your pix are so wonderful!! i'm plus-sized, but oh so willing to take them, i adore my curves (just not the rolls lol!!)... after we are engaged i am definitely taking some for him!
Oh I left out Miss Librarian in my compliments. I worked at VS for a year and your photo looks just like the photos that are in the stores year round. Awesome!
I did mine a few months ago with Leah Stafford...you can check out her blog for some poses (I'm on there, but won't tell you who!! lol)

Aw no fair 101010bride we posted ours ;) ;)
