I went there the other weekend!  I really wanted to get a dress but unfortunately there wasn’t much that fit me nor really the style (many very formal poofy gowns, we’re having a backyard wedding).  I’m thinking about donating my dress there after though.  It was a fun trip and I’m glad I at least went.  I did give the lady that runs it a link to where I got my shoes from, she was excited to find out they supported African girls go to school, since she did tons of work in India.

Ooh, my man’s sister lives in Toronto so I’ll need to check that place out once I’m looking for my dress! Thanks!

*sigh* mandM, every time I see your dress, I love it all over again. How’s the alteration coming?

I’m glad you like them!  I am very passionate about Africa after taking some geography courses, so it’s an important cause to me.  I’m wearing the ‘starboard’ design for my backyard wedding.

That’s wonderful & rare that 100% of the proceeds are donated to charity. It makes my heart smile to know that there are still good people & businesses in the world 🙂

mandM: offtopic, but your nails are perfect. You wore fake nails on a regular basis before you got married right? They look too perfect to be a 1 time thing… lol

I got ‘starboard’ it’s the blue and white striped material.  Mine came tied in the same was as the brown ones, basically there are little loops on the shoe that you thread the material through.  So you can take the material out and loop it different ways if you want (like the green ones).  Make sure before you order them you try your foot against the pdf print outs – I usually wear a size 9 and I had to get a size 11.
