Hmm… I think that you need to be more specific in what you are asking. Are you asking about a particular part of the budget, or an overall number?

If you are asking about an overall number, I would say that you need to figure out how much you can put away every month, divide it by the number of months before you get married, and add in whatever anyone else is contributing. (That’s what we did and it worked out for us!) I would say that there isn’t really a high or low for your budget.

What kind of wedding are you thinking? A high budget for a backyard wedding will be low for a black tie affair.

Once you know the style you are going for and how much you want to pay, you need to break down what you are going to spend in each category.

This is the worksheet I used

Good luck!

Also, I am not sure that this belongs in African American. Posting on the Money topic might give you more answers.

When it comes to budget, it really depends how much you are willing to spend on your wedding. Whatever amount, you can make it work~!

I think that no budget is to high or too low. As long as you have enough money to get the things that are important or a must-have then I’d say you’re good.
