@EffieTrinket:  Do you have an emails, texts or voicemails confirming his previous fee and time? Whether you do or not I would contact him. It may have been a simple error. You won’t know until you ask!

@EffieTrinket:  It’s happened to me where I discussed one thing with the vendor but the contract stated something. In conversational, friendly way, I emailed them letting them know the contract stated different terms than we agreed to verbally. If they could correct the contract, I’d be more than happy to sign and get it back to them right away. It turned out they just forgot and were embarressed by the mistake. The contract was corrected and we moved forward. 🙂

I’d email him something like this: 

 

Hi Bob, 

Thanks for sending the contract over, FI and I had a few questions though.  Based on our previous conversations, we were expecting you to be able to serve for the full cocktail hour.  Also, we thought the agreed price would be $700.  We just wanted to confirm that this wasn’t a typo on the contract because we really weren’t expecting to pay $50 more for 25% less time. 

We apprecieate your flexibility.
