lilsweetie :  thanks! And yes it’s an Etsy Jeweler, and I’d definitely use him again! Prices are the best I’ve found, communication is great, he got the CAD right the very first time, quality is outstanding especially for the price, and he’s  fast!

ladylikekatie :  just curious, did they happen to send you or tell you the exact measurements of your stone? I think that their stone sizes are approximate because mine ended up measuring a bit larger than 9×6. Just wondering if yours is a true 8×6.

lilsweetie :  Sorry! Just now seeing this. Yes, mine is a Harro Gem as well, although a slightly smaller size.

bellabee16 :  I didn’t get the exact measurements unfortunately. I’m sending it off to DK on Monday, so I’ll ask him for the measurements when he receives the stone. 🙂

ladylikekatie :  Hey! is this a crushed ice oval? the cut looks completely different to bellabee’s and I’m worried about inconsistency. I am thinking of going with a double edged halo from Lauren B but the stone looked really dull on their instagram and it’s putting me off. They are the most diamond like stone I’ve seen but Bellabee’s is the only one closest to the cut I’ve seen pics of that weren’t from their instagram. First world problems!
I was supposed to be getting an ACC from Schubachs but they couldn’t perfect the cut so offered me a refund, and now I’m going down this route.

Can’t wait to see what DK creates for you – he is a wizard!

Sadiebelle :  hi I know the wasn’t to me but I do agree with what your saying. Her stone does look different than mine, and more like their oval brilliant cut, which in my opinion still look very much diamond like. But maybe this has to do with the differences in length to width ratio. Mine is a skinny oval at 9×6 and hers is a more standard oval shape at 8×6. Or the fact that her stone is loose? Not sure..but I’d contact them and tell them how you feel there may be some inconsistencies in cut and that you want to be sure your getting the crushed ice cut. They’re crushed ice and cushion brilliants both look absolutely amazing btw and had they have had the size I wanted in stock I probably would have gotten one in crushed ice. Goodluck to you!

bellabee16 :  thank you! I’ve emailed them so hope to hear back soon. I’m super fussy when it comes to cuts – hence why the Schubachs acc didn’t work out. I’m also not a fan of the C&C oval, and the amora gems don’t seem to be happening.

I have to say that your ring is really breathtaking and I hope that I can get my hands on an oval just as pretty and lively – some of them can look like duds. I’m also after a skinny one, in the 10×7 range but will have a halo on it so don’t want to go too big. I will keep you updated 🙂

Sadiebelle :  yes please do keep me updated! I originally wanted to go with the 10×7 but they didn’t have any in stock in crushed ice at the time and I didn’t want to wait for a custom cut because I have zero patience lol. Just curious what’s your ring size? Also, I’d love to see a photo of the halo setting your getting!

bellabee16 :  every time I see your ring it makes me rethink my choice to go with a f1 h&a. I didn’t know about Harro gems when we ordered. Yours is gorgeous and appears so diamond like!

bellabee16 :  Be careful, I posted the same link and it got removed and I was (falsely) accused of self promotion.  This is a helpful video though.

bellabee16 :  I’m a size 4 and will hopefully be going with a Lauren B double edged halo with a three row pave band – although I’ve heard they’re pretty pricey in general so this isn’t going to be a cheap and simple setting! haha. I’ve asked Harro if it’s easier to order through Lauren B (have them pick the stone) or through Harro directly and send it on to Lauren B.

I’ve just screenshotted (very badly!)a couple of the styles I like below – one is a pear but I LOVE the way the top side stones are a little bigger than the rest and the super subtle split shank.

So it will hopefully look a little like this but a skinnier L:W ratio and thicker diamonds in the halo.

Sadiebelle :  sorry to bump on your post but I am in exactly the same situation! Have you heard back from Harro about what would be better-getting it through the and sending it to LaurenB or just getting it from LaurenB? Also has LaurenB sent you pictures or videos of their stock-they’ve looked better to me than the one that they posted on Instagram but I’m still really nervous. I would hate to spend a lot of money on my dream ring and have a drab center stone!

PharmKath :  hey! I didn’t hear back from Harrogem which was disappointing. Their customer service is a bit shocking to be honest. I’ve actually had to put this project on hold because my car died and I had to buy a new one last week. My repayments on that are going to take away from my new ring budget so I’m not able to proceed at the moment. First world problems! I didn’t get in touch with LB only because I wanted to hear back from the harro gem people first before wasting their time. I’m in Australia so I’m nowhere close to seeing a harro gem in real life – are you close to LB?

you may have better luck than me – let me know how it goes!

Sadiebelle :  that’s going to be stunning!! Yes LaurenB is pricey but everything they make is beautiful, so in my opinion it would be worth it! It’s would probably be faster to have LaurenB pick the stone for you and that way you’ll know you will be getting a good one! Can’t wait to see the finished ring!! What metal color will you be getting?
