nice topic! yeah, I hate it how so many love songs are about "sad love." (Nice for when you're feeling down, but sometimes you want happy songs!) :-)
@joy2011: Thanks! Do you have any favorites?
I don't want this to be my list, but a collaboration. If we pool our musical knowledge, this could be a good resource for bees in the future as well as now :)
I just want to bump this for the post-a-thon - I am sad I can't participate tonight, but I'd love to get some responses to this - I know there are bees full of great music knowledge :)
Proclaimers, (I'm Gonna Be) 500 Miles
Neil Young, Harvest Moon
Ben Harper, Forever
Ani DiFranco, As Is
Indigo Girls, Power of Two

I love this thread! So many songs "seem" like they should be happy because they talk about love, but then your realize they are actually really sad songs. I do not want ANY of those at my wedding! I've been to too many weddings where I went "huh?!?" because the songs played were really depressing and the opposite of happy.
Thanks for the ideas!
Happy Together - turtles
Lost in the Moment - Daniel Lee Kendall
I'm a Believer - Monkees
Love will Keep us together - Captain and Tenille
What I Like about You - The Kinks

Count on me - bruno mars
Marry you - bruno mars

Rhythm of love - What makes you beautiful -
Bob Marley - Three Little Birds
Ditto to "You and Me" by Dave Matthews Band, and "All You Need is Love" by the Beatles. I would add "You Are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne.
Glad this thread got revived, I know it's late but this may help some other people looking for music inspirations. This is an amazing concept! Some of my favorites are (taken from my phone playlist):
Whew. I know a lot of those are older songs, but I'm not a big fan of newer music. I'll add more if I think of them.
Wow. Pinksapphire that is a very good and long list! Thanks for all the additional adds everyone! I'm putting together an iPod of 3 hrs of happy love music and all of these really help.
