i could have sworn i would never experience dress regret..
i LOVE my gown but there are so many other types of dresses that I adore and then i look at mine and i’m not as excited about it…
ugh, i don’t know what to do. worst part is that my dress doesn’t come in until july.

@nemoandthebrain: Do you have any pics of you in it? 🙂 I’m sure you look lovely, and once you try it back on you’ll fall in love all over again!

@nemoandthebrain: Fear not! we almost ALL go through it! I was dead set on buying a new dress in a completely different style and then my best friend told me just to wait, and I did. Now I love my dress again! Just remember that the pics from the salon don’t flatter anyone, and you chose your dress for a reason. If you put it on in July and still have mixed feelings about it then try on some others then. For now, wait, stop thinking about it, and hopefully you will love it again!

Dress regret’s pretty common – don’t worry, it’ll be fine!

@kendra389: here’s my dress.. it was huge on me i think the sample was a 14 and I was measured a 6..or 8, not sure. i just feel like it’s not hugging my hips right.. my chest looks so flat.. ugh.. i want a fuller skirt.. thinking i may do a really big petticoat.

@nemoandthebrain: Um, that dress is PHENOMENAL!

@nemoandthebrain: Wow just WOW!! You have no need for regret……seriously that dress is amazing on you!! Once you see it in your size I’m sure the regret will go away!

@nemoandthebrain: beading and ruffles! What a beautiful dress. It’s certainly dramatic. The dress is definitely big on you, but once it comes in your size, and you’re able to alter it to fit you like a glove, it will be exquisite. If the bust is a concern, sewn in cups and padding could alleviate that.
Worst case scenerio, go try on your dress and a bunch of other dresses. There’s a reason why you chose this as the one, right?

thank you ladies for your support.. idk maybe I’m just seeing alot of different styles that I love..
I’m also a bit self-conscious and this dress does not allow for much wiggle room.. I’ve gotta hit the gym hard these next six months.
how did you deal with your dress regret?
i guess for me it doesn’t really matter because I can’t afford a new one anyway!

@nemoandthebrain: Is that a Maggie dress? Looks like one I tried on.
I just bought my dress last Thursday and am terrified of experiencing dress regret AND they advised me to order a really big size so that made me want to die in a vat of chocolate!
That dress looks absolutely gorgeous on you! Do you remember that feeling of trying it on and thinking- yep, this is the one? Stay in that mind frame because this dress looks stunning on you 🙂
