Went dress shopping this weekend and found two dresses I loved. I'm stuck on which to choose.
Both are a little more expensive then I wanted but we could make it work.
Here's my dilema:
There's all the talk about you know when you find "the dress". I love these dresses and I feel beautiful in both of them but I feel like maybe I was supposed to experience something more? Should I keep trying dresses on? At this point I've tried on about 30ish.
Any of you bees go through the same thing?
Dress 1: More Dramatic with a flair to it
Dress 2: More Classic
I'm all about texture so the 1st one has my vote, but the second one looks great too!
I definitely like #2 better than #1, but have to admit I think you should keep looking. I'd like to see you in more of an A line or a fit & flare - have you tried any of those or are they jost not your style?
That 2nd dress is beautiful and it looks perfect on you!
They are both beautiful, but I think #2 is slightly more flattering on you :) I'm sure I've tried on 100+ dresses (though I try not to think about it.. ugh) and I still haven't had that "feeling" either. I'm in the same place as you but with a lot more dresses, lol. Good luck!
LOVE the classic dress on you. I'll usually like a more classic than trendy look, plus I think that flatters your body more than the first dramatic one.
Dress 2 is gorgeous, and awesome on you! Who is it by? I love it!
@KristenGotMarried: I've tried a few. I didn't seem to carry them well but I will make sure I throw a couple of more in my search.
@galloway111: Good Luck to you too!
@sarahbabs: David's Bridal. CWG322
Thanks Bees! Please keep the input coming. I'm going to try to go later this week and retry these on as well as try a few others.
I have been to 2 weddings where the bride wore dress 2. Its really pretty. But personally i like dress 1 on your figure.
I LOVE the second one! Honestly, I never got the bursting into tears experience that everyone seems to get on SYTTD, but I still love my dress. Just go with your gut...if you think that you've found it, then so be it!
First one overwhelms your frame a bit. The second one is gorgeous. That's my vote!
I didnt have the break down and cry moment where i was like OMG this is my dress so I know exactly how you feel. I liked about 3 dresses and then I chose one. I have been to my fittings and now I LOVE my dress and it is THE dress. So I dont think everyone necessarily has "the moment"
Both of those dresses are very pretty but I think you look AMAZING in number 2. So beautiful!
The 2nd dress looks more flattering on you than the 1st. 2nd dress is really beautiful
I didn't have the "moment" until months later after I had purchased the dress and was trying it on for family and friends to see. Up until that point I questioned my decision. I don't think it is so cut and dry as some people think. Some of us just don't tear up etc.
That being said I LOVE #2 and even tried it on myself (didn't look nearly as good as it does on you!).
While I do love texture I am not a fan of the specific type of texture on #1, it seems to be falling a bit flat. IMHO of course.
I think Dress 2 is better than Dress 1. I voted KEEP LOOKING coz I think both styles have same shape... maybe you want to test a couple other styles before you decide.
I think they're both lovely, but the second one is just gorgeous and so flattering on you!
I voted Dress #2 because you look amazing in it, you actually look amazing in both! But it depends on the look you are going for. 1 is dramatic and 2 is sweet. I actually go "the feeling" in a dress that I did not end up purchasing, but I think it was only because that was the first time I saw myself as a bride since I was wearing a veil and could picture myself walking to FI. I purchased my dress because I could not stop smiling when I put it on.
Good luck!
I like both dresses on you, but I voted "keep looking." The dresses aren't going anywhere, and you don't seem like you have your heart set on either one. keep trying on more dresses (it's fun! I wish I could do it all over again - without the stress this time). If you find that you keep thinking about one dress over and over, then that's the one. For now, keep looking if you're not 100% sure.
I love #2! I love texture, but for some reason #1 isn't doing it for me.
Dress 2 is so beautiful and it looks great on you. While Dress 1 may be dramatic, it seems trendy in a way that maybe in a few years, it will not be as classic and may seem dated. Dress 2 is timeless.
Dress #2. I will be wearing it for my wedding in less than 3 months.
They both look really nice on you! I am going to vote for #2. I like the texture on the first one but I think the second dress is more timeless...
I think dress 2 is very flattering on you, and very pretty. I would go with that one.
