So i’m a VERY budget concious bride, I am spending money on food and drink because I want my guests to have a great time but everything else I plan to be CHEAP but I don’t want to look cheap. Spending a ton of money on my dress just doesn’t make sense to me, I’ll wear it once, yes – I want to look amazing but I don’t want it to cost $1500. How little did you spend on your dress and show me pictures please!!

Well your poll doesn’t go low enough. My dress was $695 by Venus Bridals.
TBH, I couldn’t even tell you, when looking at the salon, which dresses were more expensive than others. Their dresses were just organized by size and I pulled ones that I liked.

I’m really budget concious as well and actually went into a couture salon with intentions of trying on a dress to get replicated by Jasmine’s Bridal. However, I fell in love with my Paloma Blanca and knew that the quality and feel of the dress couldn’t be replicated. The issue was that it had a over a $3,000 price tag on it, and I just couldn’t afford that.
The consultant went and chatted with the store manager, and they were able to sell me the sample (which fit like a glove) for $1152! I’m so happy that I got my dress dress in budget! 🙂

WAY lower than that. You should fix your poll! I spent $120. Yup!
I am flne with blowing a bunch of money on food and drink, etc, but I just couldn’t imagine spending more than $400 on a dress for a single day. It doesn’t hurt that I wanted something simple and not overly bridal. Well lucky me, I found one from Macy’s for $120! I know it’s too plain for a lot of people, but I love it. (Going to alter the neckline like I’m holding it, so I’ll probably spend $200 total including alterations.)

I spent $500 on my Sophia Tolli dress from a local boutique. 🙂
Here is the stock photo. I don’t have any pictures of me in the dress on my iPad.

None of the poll options – I spent $300. It was being discontinued and cleared out, so it was 50% off.

I didn’t vote because I spent $550 on my Maggie Sottero Calista gown. Another bee in the same gown..I don’t have any photos of me in my gown.

I voted, but mine was technically $1 too low for your poll, $750. David’s Bridal Vera Wang, actually cost $1048 but the consultant told me the wrong price ($750), and they honored it 🙂 It was my lucky day, it was discontinued and they only had my size left in the store.

Even less! $250 at running of the brides

I will be wearing my mother’s dress & the quote we got for alterations (very reputable tailor, have used her before) was only $200! I want the dress made into a strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline from the long sleeve and high neck style it is now, lace added to hem for a few more inches of length and a bustle. She said she needs at least 6 months to complete it and still only quoted us $200! We may also have her make the garter from fabric she takes from the top of the dress & she will be taking my mom’s headpiece & making a simpler veil from it. We will probably pay her at least $300.
