I gave in hahaha (ahem give in**). Just for a few minutes when I’m feeling down. It cheers me up in thirty seconds flat when FI isn’t available to do so!

ETA: I put it on when I’m completely alone in my room, freshly showered and definitely not eating anything!

I just got mine today. And the only think keeping me from wearing it is the fact that I am such a klutz, I would probably ruin it! 🙂

@MsGinkgo:  well my dress won’t be here til sometime in January! But I am planning not to keep it at home, so that FI wont try to sneak a peek lol. I can imagine it hard having it in the closet and not being able to wear it!

@MsGinkgo:  I made my mom come over at least once a month to lace me up in it so I could stare at myself in the mirror.  I didn’t spend all that money to just wear it once!!

@MsGinkgo:  The title of your post made me giggle. I kept mine at my moms house, no temptation & no way of DH sneaking a peak

Mine had a corset back, so I couldn’t put it on myself!

Go for it! I tried mine on at least a dozen times before I gave it to the salon for alterations.
I do the same thing with my wedding band. I love trying them on!

@MsGinkgo:  I sent that baby home with my mom. It hurts a lot, but I get to wear it NEXT WEEKEND!!

It seriously comes up fast, though. I remember posting on FB that I had sent it home with her the day we bought it because I knew I would put it on and dance around the house every time FI had a business trip!

i didn’t have my dress until 2 days before my wedding, so i didn’t have to worry about being tempted, but i wouldn’t have worn it anyway. i wanted it to be immaculate on my wedding day. the oils from your hands and dirt from your floors (no matter how clean you think they are) will get your dress dirty.

but since my wedding (a year ago), i’ve worn it many times- doing laundry, playing video games, whatever, haha.

Lol, I want to as well. Our place is way too small for my big huge dresss though.

I took many pictures of my dress before I put it away. 🙂
I guess I haven’t worn it around the house as the puppy LOVES to jump on anything shiny, like my jewellery. I’m guessing that would include a wedding dress too. I don’t want anything to happen to it months before the wedding. It’s kind of hard to get into the garment bag. The most I’ve done is unzip the garment bag (after washing my hands) and admire it without wearing it.

It would just be a matter of time I get to try it on again — for alterations/fitting. 🙂 So, that’s a motivation in itself for getting physically active/strong/fit.

My dress was in my closet for 3+ months but it wasn’t altered yet so it was too big and cumbersome to get on. Otherwise I would have pulled it out all the time!
