The dress is too big, no one to blame except myself, very very sad…

I guess if they are willing to pay for it to be altered to the correct size then that is probably the best outcome ÿou could hope for this close to your wedding. Did the seamstress say that the dress would be ok to be altered down that much or was it going to be a problem with the look of the dress?

I’m having the same problem.  I bought a sample Vera from David’s for $250. But in addition to the standard bustle and hem, my body shape is really weird and I actually have to have the bodice shortened to fit me right.  Plus, I didn’t notice when I bought it that it needs to be repaired in a few spots and cleaned because of a lipstick stain on the back.  After all is said and done, I may have to pay an addition $1k just to  look decent.  And I was already having major dress regrets before I found all this out!

 

Good luck with your dilemma.  I’m sure it will all work out somehow.
