@NLbride:  I had a dress nightmare, also Maggie Sottero. But, I blame the salon I purchased it from. I ordered it last Janaury and it took nearly 11 months to arrive!!  I was told initially that it would be 8, maybe 9 months – and no explanation or apology. It was still a few months before my wedding so it wasnt a huge deal – until we began alterations…..that was a nightmare. The seamstress did not do a good job, it was uneven and the chest area was completely off. 3 rounds later, it was so bad I cancelled the order on the spot. I was able to find another MS authorized retailer and willing to buy the dress off the rack when I was told it was available for rush order!  I placed the order on a Saturday and that Thursday I was trying on the dress – brand new!  The alterations at this place were great and it was perfect after one fitting. This all happened two weeks before my wedding!  My dress was “Bernadette”

Damn, this bridal salon sounds AWFUL. Hopefully they can get the dress to you in time. Keep pressuring and maybe check out other salons and try on a few other dresses in the mean time. It is very possible another salon will have a sample of the same dress in stock which you can get quickly (and for cheaper). I’m sure if you explain your situation they will be very sympathetic. Also be sure to check out the secondhand sites in case it turns up there.

That store definitely deserves a horrible review after this saga is over!

@NLbride:  Are you kidding me?! This salon has some horrible business practices. I’m glad you received your money back and that you’ll get your dress (even if it’s close to the wedding). I’m sorry you had to go through all of this unnecessary stress.

@NLbride:  My friend ordered hers from superior bridal in markham and it came in super quick, like 2 months I think, so hopefully that’s good news!!

@NLbride:  *hugs* I’m glad you’ve got a refund, but sorry this has been such a horrible experience! I’m sure you will look gorgeous on your wedding day.
