beautiful dress! I would leave it as is (other than alterations of course) I think pearls in this case to match your belt, but really either would look amazing!

The back of the dress is just stunning you look great in it, I wouldn’t add sleeves, I like the simplicity of the dress as it is and if you’re adding diamonds or pearls then that’s all you’ll need to set it off perfectly, I would choose a chapel or cathedral length, one tier skinny veil, simple, classic and elegant, and won’t hide the back of your dress either!

123.srussell:  To combine jewellery and straps : I would consider a halterneck made of 2 strings of pearl-type beads, so criss crossing on your back.

Are you wearing any hoop or petticoat underneath? I would love to see a bit more flare coming from the hip. Alternatively, if you go for a smaller belt and have another in the same pattern sewn under the bust that could look interesting and balance the dress just as well.

It’s absolutely beautiful and I wouldn’t consider adding straps. Just a necklace that will complement the belt.

123.srussell:  It’s something you could make really easily yourself.

Just buy pearl type beads with a reasonable hole-size, thread each one onto a string that is a good size (not too thin if you want it to help support your dress, as well as decorate), then attach each string of pearls at either side of your sweetheart neckline (see below) so that’s the starting point for your pearls and bring each one towards your neck, then, at the back, take the string to the opposite side (opposite to the side it came from at the front) so it makes a criss-cross shape.

Then I would get 2 silver braids, also from the haberdashery and sew one under the bustline and one at the waist.

Just an idea to combine jewellery and straps together in one.

A thinner belt would look nice and I would consider adding a braided belt under the bust in a matching color to the belt you choose because that shows off your thin torso, will define your bust and draw attention to the neckline with more balance.

But it’s all optional extras and it won’t make a difference to your wedding !

123.srussell:  I think most people say no straps because it’s hard to envision the dress with it. I t does look lovely as is, but I think straps could look good too….I was thinking straps like this

Sheer and romantic. I was thinking the first one without the shoulder jewels. But the 3rd one is off the shoulder like your vision. The second one the right placement but not enough material to make a statement.

I’m not a huge fan of straps/sleeves on a sweetheart neckline, but the photos that KingsDaughter posted are really pretty. If you really want straps, I’d go with something like that.

A pearl necklace would also be really pretty with this dress. It looks great!
