Okay that title is a little all over the place, but its what I am scared of.. the evil bride smile. Anyone hate smiling? When you see photos from peoples weddings and its not a natural comfortable smile its a bit forced and it makes someone look either a toothy shark or the devil. My Maid/Matron of Honor refers to it as the "she is ugly on the inside" smile.
I hate smiling and I even noticed in my engagement photos with a genine smile (my fiance makes me giggle right before photos) I do not like my natural smile (but ofc everyone else does). But the ones with a "fake" smile are ten times worse.
But you have to show the teeth don’t you? I mean years from now I do not want to look back and try and remember why I have this straight look on my face my whole wedding.

I read once that the reason most of us don’t like photos of ourselves, even when according to everyone else we look fine & natural, is because our "mirror face" is very different to our natural face. So, the face you see in the mirror, even when you practise smiling, will not be the face you make in real life. Your FH will think you look gorgeous, but to you that photo doesn’t reflect the expression you practised in the mirror 🙂 Don’t keep a straight face in your photos – smile as much as you want, you will have that wedding day glow and feel beautiful in your dress surrounded by loved ones, and I think when you are old and your teeth are falling out you will think "I can’t believe I didn’t like my smile" 🙂

That’s too funny! I have been practicing smiling in the mirror when i’m bored…yes, i face my mirror, smile in a way i like, and take my picture. It never looks as good on camera as I think I look in the mirror!
My Fiance gets the "evil face" in pictures sometimes, too. You have to catch him off guard almost for him not to have some strange look going on. This is kinda typical with guys but I always give him crap for it.
I think if you DON’T think about it you’ll be fine. I think the more you focus on your smile being weird or tryig to "fix" it it’ll look creepy. I caught myself trying to fix my "sad face" in my engagement pictures (my photog calls it the smoldering sexy look) and I just look like I have to poop in some of them.
I need to work on a half smile! I think sometimes half smiles look great because if you’re like me, your whole face gets scrunchy when you smile!
