Kacie209:  I put a $350 kitchenaid mixer on there, not thinking ANYONE would get it.  Guess what, it was the FIRST thing purchased, and I’m pretty sure it was my incredibly generous MOH.  It almost makes me feel badly!!  I couldn’t afford to do as much for her wedding and she’s really gone the extra mile and beyond for me.  Granted, she’s in a much better financial situation that I ever have been, but still.

Kacie209:  PS that said, I’m trying really hard to NOT go back and check it b/c I want to be surprised!!  I got wayyyy too excited over the mixer, I don’t want to ruin that “ah-ha” moment for everything!!

BurlapnLace:  That was the first thing purchased off mine as well!  Not even for our wedding, my inlaws bought it for us for Christmas.  I was totally surprised since it was still months until our wedding. And I completely love it still!  I use it frequently.  I seriously have the best in-laws around.

BurlapnLace:  +1

But hooowwwwww?!? LOL. My MOH said I needed to add more stuff, so my FI and I have spent a couple nights looking at things and adding them, as of last weekend everyone received their bridal shower invites for my shower with my family (we’re having one with FI family as well because of the 4+ hour distance between towns). Anyywhooo, so last night I went on to add stuff and I noticed a couple things were bought, ahhhhh! It’s exciting.

We have an online registry and it not only tells you what was bought but who bought it, it makes it easier to write thank you cards, but it can be accessed at any time so it ruins the surprise of who is giving what. Now that I know this exists I don’t know if I can let it be haha.

BTW, I’m a baker, my FI bought me a new pretty PINK kichenaid last summer and it changed my life. LOL. I use it at least 3 or 4 times a week and it has an easily accessable home in my kitchen, if you end up getting it you’ll LOVE it!

I’m currently going through this right now. My wedding is 25 days away, but my shower is in 2 weeks.

Since I had done my registry a while ago, I wanted to go and update it to make sure that the items we wanted were still available, and I checked it and I had 8 items purchased.

Just small items such as the cooking utensils, and some napkins but it’s still nice. no big ticket items yet

but I totally mirrior your excitement. This is a very exciting time

I registered for these dumb little Q-tip dispenser boxes for my wedding shower. For some reason I realllllly wanted them. I refrained from looking at the registration list for about a month before the shower. When I opened that little Q-tip holder box, I about lost my shit I was so excited! Everyone was laughing so hard cause it was such a little stupid thing but it was just the excitement and surprise! Stay off the registry and enjoy the suprprises lady!  But…I will say it is fun 🙂
