Okay, I'm officially part of the HIVE!!!!!

I've been following posts for months now, but I didn't want to register. We are not engaged [YET] and I have a fear of the curse of the preemptive!! Up until now, I have refused to start seriously planning, join any blogs, or even use the word "fiance" before the proposal was out in the open.

Buuut, all of this changed last week when HE used the F word!

We were at a work event of his-- he does freelance work and so he is always surrounded by a new group of colleagues who don't really know him, me, etc. He informed me that he had referred to me as his "fiance" when talking with the guys earlier in the week because it was "just easier to explain 'us' in those words"  (!!!!!!!!!)

After I heard that I couldn't help but think to myself, Gosh darnit if he's using the F word, I can be a Bee!!! 

 It isn't that much of a stretch, afterall. We have spoken at length about the details of the Big Day including time, location, bridesmaids/groomsmen, and even colors (saving that for another post)! He let me know he's 'ready' and implied a ring isn't far off... we've been living together for almost a year, together for almost two, and friends for five. I'm thinking a summer proposal is in the works, but we'll see.  I'm actually very excited to be part of the hive now so I can fully document the entire journey, from pre-proposal, through proposal, and onward!
