It's all so lovely! The emotion and fun of the day really comes through in the photos.
You look beautiful congrats!
What a fun reception - looks like it was really special! :) Yay for fireworks! Thanks for taking the time to share all your photos, I never get tired of seeing people's success with their weddings!
It looks like you guys had a blast! I loved every minute of yours recaps, thank you for sharing all of it with us.
Looks like you and your guests had a great time! Great pictures!
What a sweet group of family and friends you guys have! What a sweet ending :)
Thank you! I'm so glad that my photographer captured so much emotion in the dancing. There must be at least 150-200 dancing pictures alone (out of the 825+ total professional photos).
I'm also glad that I haven't worn out my recap welcome.
Adorable! Your pic recaps just keep getting better and better. The surprise was incredible :) congrats!!!
@bRooklynRocks: Thanks! The cake was a recipe of my MIL. She makes it for every birthday and holiday. She even had to teach the catering staff how to make the caramel frosting.
Here's another picture of it:
@WolvLove: I really couldn't believe it. I just kept saying to DH, "I can't believe you did this. It's amazing." Here's one of the "reaction" shots from the photographer:
Shameless little bump... and a few more pictures.
Our super delicious and classy buffet line:
And my mom breaking it down:
Beautiful! Also, the women in your family look like they would be a riot to party with ;)
@MrsCarnival: Haha thanks! They are mostly in DH's family but they are fantastic.
I actually had one of my friends ask if she could "borrow" them for her wedding next year.
People also kept asking if the "dancing queen" transition had bee planned/rehearsed it was so ridiculous and coordinated.
@KatNYC2011: Wow ... everything looks so special and beautiful.. I'm tearing up a little :P Congratulations ! Wishing you all the love and success you can handle ! God Bless !
You look so pretty, and your friends and family all look like such fun, energetic people! Congratulations!
@KatNYC2011: That is so funny. Those first two dancing pics put such a huge grin on my face :)
@KatNYC2011: Great recaps! And of course you didn't wear out your recap welcome - they were lovely and fun to read :)
@MrsCarnival: They never fail to make me smile. There's a YouTube video of it somewhere, but it's really poor quality unfortunately.
@sarahbabs: Thanks! Glad I haven't worn out my welcome. I could not believe how much love and support I felt from everyone on our wedding day. It was amazing.
@MissBananaBread: I was surprised how into the dancing everyone of all ages was. It was fantastic and our DJ was perfect.
@maudemaisha: Aww thank you! It was an amazingly special day.
I LOVE all your recaps and definitely not tired of them. All of your pictures are so gorgeous. It looks like the wedding was perfect and everyone enjoyed themselves :-). Thank you so much for sharing them!!
@shushu1208: Thank you. I am SO happy with how everything turned out and how fantastically the photographer caught all those special moments.
The best part was that she was so good, that most people didn't notice her during the candids. I would look for her every now and then and see her taking photos, but she was very unobtrusive and let everyone enjoy their day while capturing wonderful photos at the same time.
@katyd: Thank you! Our graphic designer (who did all our paper goods) had a binder of "wedding ideas' and a photo of a cake like that was in it. I think it was from a brides magazine from several years ago. I loved it and hadn't seen anything like it before. I'm so glad my caterer was able to re-create the design so well.

Hopefully you aren't tired of these already (I know I'm not!), but this is the last one. Our lovely reception started with the toasts.
First a welcome from my wonderful father:
Can't remember what was so funny, but based on the look on his face I think it was at DH's expense:
Then came the toasts from the best man (DH's brother) and the maid of honor (my sister). From what I remember the Best Man's speech started with "My brother has made a lot of mistakes in his life", which definitely got the crowd involved:
And my beautiful sister, who also had everyone in stitches:
My parent's enjoying my sister's toast:
Then we went inside for the first dance. Van Morrison's "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You":
Then came our joint mother/son and father/daughter dance to Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World":
After which the DJ broke into ABBA's "Dancing Queen" and the party REALLY got started!
My dad getting into the party spirit:
Then, just as the dancing was *really* getting started, DH took the mic from the DJ and asked everyone to come outside for a special surprise for me. We all gathered out by the water, and then suddenly *BOOM* and fireworks! The best wedding present ever:
I absolutely LOVE fireworks and DH knows that. I could not believe he actually got fireworks for me. It was the most romantic and thoughtful thing, and needless to say our guests loved it too.
Once the fireworks were over, we went back inside to continue dancing and then it was time to cut the cake:
It was DELICIOUS!
We thanked our guests:
And a few more dancing pictures to "play you out". For our last dance they replayed "Wonderful World". It was supposed to be Frank Sinatra's "My Way", but Wonderful World ended up being just perfect.
One of DH's groomsmen doing one of his "infamous" dances:
Dancing with my MIL:
Last Dance. My godparents (my godfather was our officiant):
I was barefoot by this point. And actually walked back to our hotel (about 2 blocks away) barefoot.
Wow... that was a lot of photos. But it still doesn't even begin to show all the fun, funny, poignant, and wonderful moments that were a part of our wedding.
Hope you enjoyed!
