Do your parents like your FI/SO? And vice versa?
My parents absolutely ADORE my Fiance. My mother became a fan the first night they met! He charmed her socks off, for sure. I had been worried because there is an 11 year age difference between me and Fiance, and I’m still ‘a baby’, because I’m only 18. But nope, Mom and Dad love love love Fiance and were super happy that we’re committing to each other.
Same way with his parents. His Mom and step-dad love me, they say so every single time I come over…and constantly talk about me to others in their ‘circle’ about how great I am and how happy they are that my Fiance is with me. His dad also likes me, but is very shy and not a people-person so he’s not very vocal.
I was just curious about everyone’s relationship with their future in-laws. 🙂

My parents love, love, love my Fiance. Truthfully, everyone loves my Fiance (not sayin that to “brag”, it’s just true). 🙂 My parents know he has changed my life for the better, and that he is an all around amazing, loving, caring guy.
FI’s parents love me, but it took some time. I’m marrying their youngest son, who’s quite a bit younger than his siblings…so he’s their baby. All of his siblings and their many grandkids live close by them (within a 5 min drive) and Fiance and I moved about 1.5 hours away to be together and keep our careers. So, at first she admitted she struggled with me “taking” him away; and I’m also a “city girl”, and a little more outspoken and bold than what they were used to. But she has warmed up and his parents are very supportive of us now. 🙂
