We are planning to go see it because it looks hilarious. A friend of mine went to a bachelor party in Vegas a couple of years ago & threw up in the galley of the plane on the flight home.....ick!
My brother's bachelor party went quite well - the best man is now dating one of the strippers he hired!
We just went to the advanced screening of The Hangover & it was hilarious! My fiance & I were cracking up the whole time. He's gone to bachelor parties in Vegas &, of course, they have never come close to the outrageousness of this movie!
seems like its "dude wheres my car" 10 years on
my partner had his b-party last week, which is weird considering we're eloping and no one is supose to know were getting married!!! (and they say women cant keep secrets)
anyways, he wont tell me what exactly happend but i know there were strippers and whipped cream because both him and the shirt i made him wear (it had a picture of us on it with a 'if found, return to sender" info printed on it) came home covered in cream.
@Mojito: So the movie was hilarious??? Just tell me it had a happy ending.
I'm sure the movie is outrageous... I just couldn't help but see the trailer and have flashbacks to one of the groomsmen telling me "I can't promise we won't have anyone missing... in jail... or passed out left at a bar... But I DO promise & guarentee we will give YOUR MAN the night of his life!"... which left me slightly like "oh sh*t, what did I just get my man into?!" (I know the groomsman is/was joking... or is he???)
@Professorbee- NO WAY! That is hilarious!
@eloping: I am totally stealing your idea for my man... I have no problem making him a t-shirt like that! hahaha. awesome!
My FIL is going to be the best man...and Mr H is NOT into strip clubs...he's been there, done that, and so have I. If you haven't been to one, I suggest you go, so you don't have "worst case scenario" playing in your head. They're doing a BBQ at FIL's house and lots of beer.... :)
@ sparkles: the shirt also had some rules like he wasnt allowed to be naked or chained up, put on a plane without a credit card ect and all the guys at the party really had a laugh about it too
The funny thing is my man is 'going along' with this whole male bonding outing because a) one of my man's buddies is recently divorced, & my man says this guy really needs a 'night out on the town', b) one groomsman is not married & wants to live thru my man c) another buddy claims 'he never got the bachelor party he wanted' & is also taking this as an opportunity to have some fun <insert rolling my eyes>. =o) Boys! Gotta luv them! -I suggested they play texas hold'em or poker in my FH hotel suite... the guys all looked at each other and were like... "Nahh!!!"
@eloping... hahaha. That sounds so cute... I love how boys can be such goofballs.... isn't that why we love them? Your man came back with cream on him too? I am still busting up laughing over that... ah, this made my night. =o)
my FI says the b-party was more for the guy that arranged it than the actual groom to be as a few months ago there was a b-party that was no fun and VERY expensive so the person that arranged got tired of the complaints and said "you do the next party". so this one was way over the top inc portable poles for the working ladies to swing from, a kiddies pool for some wrestling ect - all stupid boys stuff
my FI came home covered in whipped cream - he tried to wipe it off but that stuff you need to wash off not just use a towel
i wasnt stressed about the party, i know my man (he doesnt drink, which helps me be secure) so it was boys being stupid boys and then they all went home to their wives/gf's
@eloping Your FI's Bachelor Party sounds like a scene out of Old School! And The Hangover does have a Dude, Where's My Car kinda feel, but was much funnier. It was really well done and *almost* plausible.
@SparklesYou don't really want me to tell you about the ending, do you?!?
it comes out the weekend my FI will be in NYC for his bachelor party! Maybe I will go see it with my girlfriends to laugh at what they are doing!
My fiance's bachelor party is next weekend. I'm not too worried about what's going to happen, because he's going to be in the boonies with all his guy friends. I do know that he's going to be hurting when he gets back. No girls involved, just lots of alcohol!
As we were married during the holidays last year, my husband and his friends ran out of time to have an offical bachelor party. Therefore, they all decided that they would have a big guy's party at a friend's house the night before the wedding. I was not concerned because I thought it was just a few of them....turns out there were about 30 of them, and they all (besides my husband) got stupid drunk.
This resulted in wrestling, which resulted in a broken couch, pee in the closet, and my husband waking up with a black eye on our wedding day. Luckily my DOC was able to cover it up, and I didn't realize it until that night when he washed his face. It turned all shades of ugly on our honeymoon, though. And the groomsmen were still a bit drunk and smelled a bit like booze at the (morning)wedding.
I laughed though...boys! So dumb.
Gah, that movie! >.< It does look funny, but it's just not my thing. =) My favourite thing is when they go to the police station to try and find the groom.
I have to say, this was the funniest movie since 'Old School'! Going into this movie, I knew my fiance would be making mental notes...on how to have a great bachelor party :) (just kidding)
Not only did I laugh at the movie, but I also laughed at my fiance watching the movie. Once in awhile I would look over at him and see a HUGE smile on his face! Too funny!
The good thing about my fiance is he's having his bachelor party a month before our wedding, so hopefully we won't have this problem! haha!!
See this movie girls!!!! :)
The hangover is soooo funny.....My fiance wanted to see it this week because this weekend, he is going to Vegas for his party with his brothers......lol....he better come back!
my FI and i saw it last night and it was hilarious! i thought i wouldn't like it, but i laughed the ENTIRE time. i think FI and i are doing a joint bachelor/bachelorette party with all our friends so i need not to worry about any vegas-craziness like that!
I loved this movie. My sides were hurting afterward from laughing so hard! hilarious
Oh man....I saw it with my fiance and allllllllll of his groomsmen. A little uncomfortable. But it made for a good laught and I could point up at the screen and look at them all and shake my head at all the crazy antics! But it made for a good laugh. I actually didn't think it was too bad until the credits....then I felt my stomach flip a little....
That movie has seriously motivated Me & the girls to have a bachelorette weekend in Vegas or away. We are considering a weekend cruise to the Bahamas since we are here in Miami. It also made me consider both parties being out in Vegas - just in different locations (one for the girls one for the boys) b/c I dont want combined outings at all.
FI & I have been there and done that party wise - and I even think I've partied hard enough that a bachelorette party (stereotypcial one) might be a bit lame for me ( sorry it's true) - so a weekend away with some partying in between would be nice :)
Oh man, my FI and I went to see that movie and it is SOOOO FUNNY. We really laughed a lot! My FI doesn't want to do the crazy bachelor party thing, I've asked him repeatedly. He's going on a surfing trip instead with his groomsmen which is more his style I guess. OR SO HE SAYS. Hahahahha
That movie was awesome!! MrCraig and I went to see it and we both loved every minute of it.
I'm hoping my FH doesn't get locked on the roof of a casino for his Bachelor Party though ... he's very fair skinned :)

Unlike other brides, my FH is not one to go to strip clubs or stay out painting the town red for a bachelor party (or for any 'male bonding' related outing). As a matter of fact, he doesn't want to do anything for his bachelor party. Being the loving soon to be wife I asked his groomsmen to take him out for some 'male bonding' one evening the week of our wedding. And then the chaos of groomsmen GLORY (monsters) came out....
Not knowing officially what the plans are for the outing, I merely instructed the groomsmen they have but one task.... TO BRING THE GROOM BACK in one piece in time for the wedding. (I even recruited the wives & girlfriends of the groomsman to be part of OPERATION: BRING THE BOYZ BACK, their ladies have until a certain time until they send out the "search parties")
Then what does Warner Brothers do?! They make a movie about my most dreaded fears! <see link below to watch the trailer>.
~sigh~ As if a Bride doesn't have enough to worry about!

<I am totally goofing off here, I just wanted to add a little light heartedness to the boards>
Anyone see the trailer??? Anyone else have 'Bachelor Party' related concerns? (even if it's light hearted nervousness... kind of like part of the wedding nightmares we all tend to have at some point)
