So this is my first post and I'm going to vent about that "haunted, miserable, scary, disorganized, mess" of a corner that now harbors all of my wedding purchases, practice runs, trials, crafts, papers, string, bags, and all that mumbojumo!

    AHHHHHHHHH

I live in a one bedroom apartment.  I have no room for anything.  So I've taken this corner (which sorta/kinda/maybe) is hidden by the sofa when you walk into the living room, and decided that everything wedding will go here.  Problem is...it's a HOT MESS!

It's not only something I don't want to try to organize, but it's this constant reminder of EVERYTHING I need to do...but even scarier all of the small things that I can't do until the week of the wedding.

For example, take a look at the cones.  I'm going to fill those with craft poms in green, brown, and white.  Sounds like fun, but I can't do that until maybe the week of.  And then I'm going to have to find a box to put them in so that they stay upright...WHICH ESSENTIALLY MEANS ANOTHER BOX WILL HAVE TO FILL THAT CORNER!  which means...the sofa can not/will not be able to hide anything else.

I'm two months away, I have about four boxes that I'm awaiting from UPS within the next week.  I know the ordering will continue.  What's the process for keeping this all organized!!

AHHHHHH share thoughts on your haunted wedding corner :)

This SO sounds like me! I actually have a "War Room" at my mom's house that has all my completed projects stored. Then in our house, in the spare bedroom I have paper crafts going on and in the office I have flowers, beading, and basket crafts. My FI said I'm not allowed to take over any more rooms....but he is out of town this weekend so the living room is becoming my fabric room so I can work on my rehersal dinner dress. ;-)

Ha! Love it! We are in a tiny one bedroom loft with a dog that sheds, so I bought a gazillion stackable Container Store boxes and they all live between the couch and the kitchen island. Today I'm going to Goodwill to donate stuff replaced by shower gifts and return some other gifts and CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE MORE SPACE! And in 2 more weeks, all those boxes will be empty and ready to be stored in the closet. Yay!

You should see my diningroom. I get it all cleaned up and pretty for when people come over, and like 20 minutes after the door closes wedding explodes all over the place!!! I've given up trying to make it look pretty. I'm going to go buy some Rubbermaid plastic totes today to seperate projects on the go from completed projects, and also to divide the completed projects into where they're going to (bakery, florist, venue, etc). ACK!!!!!! Honestly, I can't even see my diningroom table right now. What a disaster!

Oh I feel you on this one! I have a 1 bedroom that my husband moved into with me after the wedding, but it is less than 500 square feet and it was crammed with wedding projects. We had stuff under the dining table, tucked into every corner, on top of the closet...everywhere. Plastic totes can help and you might be able to keep using them after the wedding. Also, Try to sort through so that elements of a project are all together.

    Good luck!

Oh and my pretty guest bedroom has a dozen cases of Evian water stacked in it. Anyone who stays just has to live with it ;)

@Rgeddy - I have about a dozen on display already in my china hutch/buffet thing in my diningroom, and then I found them SUPER DUPER on sale, so I snagged 10 boxes. We're going to use it for our table water :) Score!
