And your dogs are adorable. It would be hard to stay mad at them!
--One time Toby, our silky terrier, shredded about 20 magazines that were on an end table. There was paper everywhere. When I came home from work and opened the door, he was standing in the living room with a VS catalog hanging out of his mouth. I could not stop laughing, even as I was cleaning it up.
@Lindsay12.31.2010: I know. i can't stand giving them the silent treatment because they just stare at me with those eyes. I can't help myself. I 'make them get in the beds' (time out) for like 30 seconds then it's all love and kisses.
I think it's a great idea! Your dogs are beautiful.
Last night we ran out for about 15 min and came home to find an entire bag of treats eaten. So we were telling her what a bad girl she had been and to go lay down while we cleaned it up. We went into the living room a few min later and she was curled on the couch her her stuffed animal with big sad brown eyes. She looked so cute so I couldn't stay mad!

awww thats cute! i know if someone made my doggies treats they would appreciate it :)
I actually did something similar a couple of years ago and the neighbors LOVED it. People get so many treats this time of year they were glad to be remembered at the Holidays without having something they were expected to eat!

I always bake something for our neighbors each holiday season. Painstaking hours in the kitchen. Last year, I did cookies. I bought these very cute little boxes that the cookies would go in. I packed them nice and tight and pushed them waaaaaay back on the counter so our doggies wouldn't get them.
Well, we went out to breakfast and came home to this:
I was furious. But I can't stay mad at them:
So this year, I'm baking again...but for the dogs in our 'hood rather than the humans!
Attached to the cookie boxes for the canines will be a hanging label in the shape of a dog bone with this pattern on it: Houndstooth pattern

also on the label will be a little photo of my two angels (above).
What do you think? I'm now also thinking of doing a blog about them and using The Hound's Tooth as my official title.
