Weddingbee boards

Hi all! Been looking and looking and looking for a venue in LA that is a) not uber expensive b) not a country club or package deal c) not a hotel....it's been QUITE challenging on our budget (I'm a teacher and fiance is a musician)....but I think TODAY is the the day! We're visiting Marvimon downtown tonight, it looks AMAZING...and just perfect for us! Has anyone been there? Booked it????

I've been to a wedding there!  It's lovely.  They used the outdoor courtyard for the ceremony and it was beautiful.  It's kind of small though, and like a big rectangle, from my memory.  They had a sit down dinner and I remember thinking it would have been better (less cramped) to do just a cocktail/small  bites reception.

Have you checked out Smog Shoppe too?  Same vibe, not sure of price.

Also, my best friend got married at Randee St. Nicholas studio on La Brea Avenue.  From the outside, it looks like nothing special.  Inside, it's a cool blank space to do with what you will.  They also have a backyard courtyard.  We did her wedding there for 60 sitdown, and then opened it up for dancing/cocktails/desert to another 50 people.
