Oh what a month it has been but the invitations are in the mail!
Here is what I have learned…
1. When your financee checks on prices and they seem really high, call and check. When he thinks they mean 50 cents a cut it is not per piece of paper but per stack of the piece….
2. If you insist on cutting all the pieces for your pocketfold yourself (or if your Fiance makes you because the cost is to high to hire someone, see #1) wine is MUST! You will just go crazy otherwise.
3. As a bride you will never be happy unless you do it yourself. Somehow when I apply the invite slightly crooked it didn’t matter but when he did the same thing it was a BIG deal.
4. With 54 days left I have actually forgotten some of the details we planned 12 months ago…
What have you learned as we near the finish line?

@kma212s: Here’s what I’m learning….there are many moving parts. We are getting married at a friend’s house and the details are astronomical, and some things cannot be answered now. Planning for weather issues (outdoor tent) is almost impossible at this juncture….and these are the obvious things that need tending to. I have a great friend that I work with that I have now hired as my wedding consultant to take over and do the rest of the heavy lifting, thank goodness for him!
So, what am I learning? I’m learning to let go of the wheel and breathe!!!

I got my invitations in the mail yesterday! I have learned a lot about things I never heard of before, the list is too long to get in to. Next on the list, engagement shoot tomorrow and the next dress fitting Thursday. In the meantime I try and figure out how to handle a room block. Whew!
