I wasn’t the most frequent poster on the last thread but I have really appreciated the input and support from you ladies, so I wil try to be less of a lurker!

Status (MC cycle/rest cycle/TTC cycle): Currently 5 weeks pregnant today! And scared outta my mind!

MC History:  I found out i had a blighted ovum at 8 weeks when i started to spot but baby had stopped growing around 5? We got pregnant on cycle 7 the first time and on the 3 cycle the second rime around

Issues (if any):

I have mild pcos but luckily i was already followed by an endocrinologist. My cycles were fairly regular after the pill and I seem to ovulate every month.

My betas are doubling but are on the really low end of normal which is making me nervous but I am trying not to think about it too much. (and failing miserably!)

Action Plan for next TTC cycle (ie Baby Aspirin, progesterone, etc): hopefully fingers toes and everything else crossed  there will not be a next cycle til baby 2.

Current coping strategies/favorite inspirational quotes:
Everything happens for a reason, it’s not easy to think this way in relation to a MC but I had an amazing job opprtunity fall in to my lap almost directlt related to the timing of my MC so I like to think G-D has a plan!

Just wanted to raise a sensitive point, dont mean to step on any toes but I know it can be hard to come across prego ladies when struggling with loss. Is everyone comfortable with those of us that have gotten bfps lately hanging around. Do people find it helpful to see success stories? Or should we maybe start a pregnant after MC thread?

Hi! Just chiming in to say, yes, I think pregnancy after MC should be part of this thread. I think we need success stories to keep us going, and pregnancy after MC is a very different experience  so its better to go through it with people who know how you’re feeling 🙂

I agree – I think it would be great to keep the stories of rainbow babies on this thread.  Like almajele said, I’d rather discuss pregnancy with the ladies on this thread that know what a scary/happy experience it is after a MC.

@almajele:  Absolutely agree with this. I am so happy to hear from ladies who have conceived after MC, and to get updates on their successful pregnancies. We all need to see the hope for the future!

Thanks for starting the new thread, asyouwish.

I’m glad to see that this thread is still holding strong.  I’ve been kind of MIA from weddingbee…still lurking but not posting because I’m not sure where I fit.  I never joined the December board, firstly because I was nervous about joining prematurely and lastly because these past few weeks have been terrifying and i’m not sure if I can relate to some of the other posters.  Here’s my roll call:

Status (MC cycle/rest cycle/TTC cycle): Officially 12 weeks today.  We had an ultrasound last week and got to see baby kick and wiggle.  The legs and arms were well defined and I felt so relieved when the tech told me everything looks good.

MC History: I had an early miscarriage at 6 weeks on the cycle prior to getting my BFP..

Current coping strategies/favorite inspirational quotes:
I’m really trying to stay optimistic…it’s hard, but with each passing day and milestone it’s been easier to believe that I’ll have a baby this December.

This thread helped me enormously during the days and weeks following my miscarriage. I also found hope in reading succesful stories. I’m happy to see all the BFPs and I’m glad that there is still room for us in this forum.  My heart aches for all those who have recently experienced loss- my prayers are with you.  For all the newly pregnant bees, wishing you a happy healthy 9 months.

@As_You_Wish:  Thanks for starting the new thread! 😀

@mtler: I think it was very thoughful of you to think of the other ladies on here that are still TTC. 🙂

Status (MC cycle/rest cycle/TTC cycle): Currently 4w4d weeks pregnant today! And also scared outta my mind! I am feeling pretty good, aside from the fact that I am having a terrible gag reflex. I gagged when I blew my nose this morning. What the?

MC History:  I had an early MC at 6w3d, but the baby was only measuring 5w I believe. It could have been due to the fact that I passed a lot of tissue right before my U/S. We got pregnant on cycle 9 the first time and on the 2nd cycle the second time around.

Current coping strategies/favorite inspirational quotes: Trying not to worry is impossible. I think I am even getting phantom symptoms, which I then google, which then makes me even more scared! Must stay away from google! I am just taking every day as it comes, and being thankful for every day that I am still pregnant! 🙂

Question Ladies (another… sorry 🙂

So after last week’s cp/miscarriage..or?  idk what it was exactly.  Anyways, I had bloodwork on Tuesday and at that time my hcg level was 2.  I used some OPK and HPT just to see what the resuls were- and they were all negative. (NO LH line at all)

I started charting again right away and this weekend I started using OPK’s again.  I am currently on CD 11.  My OPK’s are getting more faint each day.  Last Monday/ Tuesday there was no idication on the LH line…. On Friday there was a faint line and each day  I’ve done it since has been getting lighter.

Could I have already o’d.  Or, is my body just all messed up from everything still?  I’m not necessarily ttc this month- but just keeping tabs.  I’ve been having to pee constantly again this weekend (to the point that I’m getting annoyed).  Until today there has been No CM (and today just a bit- but not anything indicative)- but I’ve been really really ready to BD (which is normal- esp around the time that I o)

Should this cycle be fairly “normal” or…. does it take awhile to regulate again?

Congrats again to all the pregnant ladies on here!! It’s so hopeful for those who are currently experiencing loss!!

Status (MC cycle/rest cycle/TTC cycle): I’m 5+5 weeks pregnant today.

MC History: Last cycle I MC-ed at 5+4 so it’s a small victory to be here. My pregnancy had never progressed. Betas on 18DPO were 34, & only went up to 50 on the day I MC-ed.  This time around feels totally different.

Current coping strategies/favorite inspirational quotes:
My betas have been looking good so far. DH & I are taking it day by day but so far we’re very hopeful that this one is here to stay.

Status (MC cycle/rest cycle/TTC  cycle): officially a “rest” cycle… but I’m not preventing at all

MC History:  I had a miscarriage at 6 weeksish last week.  That was my first pregnancy.

Current coping strategies/favorite inspirational  quotes: Nothing right now- but definitely depending a lot on my dh right now. Lots of praying and positive thinking.

Issues:  Apparently my body does not produce enough progesterone (my level was at .5 at 6 wks).  So- after I o i will begin taking that.  I’m so thankful that my doctor is willing to try this- I’ve heard that some doctors won’t even try any interventions until after a woman has had a few mc

I love to see the success stories!  It’s great to see all you ladies pregnant again and gives me great hope.  Even though I’m not pregnant, I relate to you because I know I will be SO SCARED when I do get pregnant again.  In the meantime, I’m praying for each of you!

@mrsc630:  It’s totally possible that your body is just taking a while to regulate itself.  After my last MC, my cycle was about 10 days longer than it normally was and although I don’t know for sure, I don’t even think I ovulated.  Just keep using those OPKs and see what happens!

MC cycle/rest cycle/TTC  cycle): TTC my 16th cycle.  I’m on Femara and will be doing IUI.

MC History:  Chemical pregnancy in January 2013 (11th cycle), and miscarriage at 6 weeks in March 2013 (13th cycle).

Current coping strategies/favorite inspirational  quotes: Positive thinking.

Issues:  unexplained infertility, thinking I may have a luteal phase defect or post-ovulation progesterone problem.

I also love hearing about success stories after losses.  It’s reassuring to know that some wonderful ladies are getting their much deserved BFP!

Status (MC cycle/rest cycle/TTC cycle): currently 8w5d pregnant!

MC History:  Chemical pregnancy Sept 2012, missed MC Jan 2013

Current coping strategies/favorite inspirational quotes: I’m currently trying to take one day at a time and be thankful each day that I remain pregnant.

Hi all, I’m here. Been laying low, so congrats to all the new bfps!

Since preggos are okay in here, here’s my roll call.

Status (MC cycle/rest cycle/TTC cycle): I will be 12w pregnant tomorrow.

MC History:  Chemical pregnancy at the end of September. Waited the month to try again, got pregnant. Betas were great, the scans were great, then we went in for the 8w scan to find out we had lost the baby. I waited two weeks to try to naturally lose the baby but my body liked being pregnant too much, so I took misoprostol to chemically induce it. It worked, and a few weeks later I ovulated and started a new cycle that we had to skip. I then skipped the next one because my husband has penis issues, and we got pregnant the next cycle again.

Issues (if any):

I am ANA+, which means my antibodies attack all new cell growth, especially placentas, which cuts off blood flow to the embryo and ends the pregnancy. And my husband has penis issues which meant we only got one time per fertile period to try to make a baby.

Action Plan for next TTC cycle (ie Baby Aspirin, progesterone, etc): I’m still on baby aspirin to thin my blood so the baby doesn’t get attacked while the placenta is still forming, and I was on progesterone supplements from the day after my BFP until tomorrow 200mg vaginally.

Current coping strategies/favorite inspirational quotes:
I try to tell myself that our previous losses were sparing our children from a life possibly full of pain, so God wanted me to feel the temporary pain of losing them rather than inflict pain on them forever by letting them grow.

@mrsc630:  I am so sorry for ur loss.  It’s hard to know what a cycle post mc is going to be like but just as a point of reference this cycle i had dark opks from cd 9 to 11ish than much lighter ones for 2 days before I got a positive. So I wouldnt worry too much about what shows up unless it is positive and to anticipate that this cycle may be a bit different than usual.
